Payday 2 profitable six days prior to release

GR-UK writes: "In a statement to investors and shareholders of Starbreeze Studios the developer has announced that all the money fronted by publisher 505 Games towards the development of Payday 2 has been covered by pre-orders. This means that moving forward all revenue generated from all three versions of the game will be split between Starbreeze Studios and the publisher. The fact that this news comes six days prior to the release of the game is a sure sign that pre-sales of Payday 2 are healthy."

I think the sole reason is the free marketing they got from big Youtubers.

Might have also been the fact that the original was a rather good game that sold quite nicely. :p

Free marketing?

Almost EVERY gaming $ite is licking the game til it pop, casually 'forgetting' to say how horrible it runs on consoles. This costs millions to be done. They are going heavily on 'friendly journalism', so it is no wonder the less favoured minds will preorder it forgetting about the horrible past of this dev.

Know what? If you bought it for console you deserve to be fooled and to play a 25 fps game. 'No, no, this time it will have a decent, playable frame rate'. Really? Bwaaaaaahahahahah

Yeah, gamers deserve to be treated VERY stupidly.
