GR-UK writes: "In a statement to investors and shareholders of Starbreeze Studios the developer has announced that all the money fronted by publisher 505 Games towards the development of Payday 2 has been covered by pre-orders. This means that moving forward all revenue generated from all three versions of the game will be split between Starbreeze Studios and the publisher. The fact that this news comes six days prior to the release of the game is a sure sign that pre-sales of Payday 2 are healthy."
GB: "Of course, Payday 2 has had its fair share of ups and downs as well, in spite of the success that it has enjoyed. For starters, the disparity between the game’s PC and console versions is a major issue that plagued the game for years on end, thanks to the frustrating optimization issues across platforms brought about by the Diesel Engine, which the game was developed on."
Payday 2 launched 10 years ago today, and a constant stream of updates still makes it worth playing ahead of Payday 3.
Starting today, Payday 2 is free at Epic Games Store. The free game offer runs until June 15. Once you claim it, it's yours to keep.
i got the payday 2 beta as soon as soon as it came out, and im still playing it now, i have had more fun on the few levels of this beta that i have had on some games i have paid £50 for
I think the sole reason is the free marketing they got from big Youtubers.
Just another prove: marketing >>>>>> quality.
