Upcoming indie game King Arthur’s Gold has, after 14 months made the leap from alpha to beta.
The 2D game, created by a 2 man band known as Max and Michal or Transhuman Design has currently seen an impressive 281,322 players join the multiplayer game across it’s 14 month life span.
avoiderdragon: Competitive gaming is slowly growing to be a big deal these days, especially with the rise of games like League of Legends, DOTA 2, StarCraft II, and so on as avenues for professional competition. In such a time, there would be no surprise at all to see developers attempting to make their own competitive multiplayer titles with emphasis on skill above all else. Even indie outfits are getting into the act, like Artillery.
Now we all love multiplayer games, right? And we all love our retro-feeling videogames, right? Well, with that being said, how awesome would it be if there was a multiplayer game that had great gameplay, was easy to master, and sparked some good ol’ fashioned nostalgia from the SNES days? The answer is that it could very well be King Arthur’s Gold.
