The announcement of a PAL release for Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear came as somewhat of a surprise, even more so given how close we are to seeing the product arriving on store shelves. Given the success of Avanquest Software’s move into high-definition (HD) console titles with the truly groundbreaking The Walking Dead – arriving just in time for the recently released 400 Days downloadable content – Electronic Theatre thought it would be prudent to take a look at just where this fresh entry into the console market will be taking us next.

Light gun videogames aren’t as popular as they once were. One of the biggest hurdles to the success of the genre has always been the need to purchase an expensive accessory alongside the videogame, especially when the lifespan of said videogame is often far less that, say, a first-person shooter (FPS). Avanquest Software are planning on changing this standard, if only in some small way, by concentrating on the strengths of the genre and its appeal to a very wide demographic.
Oh god another one. Why do they continue to make this.
I'm not too sure what they want to achieve with this game. Considering BF4 / Destiny / CoD / Titanfall are the main competition soon.
