''Killer Instinct is one of those games that carries a sense of nostalgia. It’s a game that entertained many during their youth but also stood out for its iconic announcer and ridiculous combos. It was often seen as a more fun alternative to already established beat ‘em ups, so when Killer Instinct 2013 (let’s call it that for the sake of reference) was revealed, the 90s child within me was excited, hyped, pumped…you get the idea.''

This is how you support your first party games! Continued support after 10 years!
The Killer Instinct fans appreciated and the whole FG community celebrates!
Congrats goes to Matt, Mick, Adam and everyone at Iron Galaxy!
Tomorrow we fight together! I can´t wait!
I love KI (still play the old arcade version) but feel like the Xbox version is like a big intimidating chessboard with no easy way to instruct you to play chess.
The game is so deep in terms of little things to do that it makes Smash Bros melee look like a casual experience.
Honestly, doing a combo Breaker is punish/reward by itself but hey you can add a counterbreaker.
Here's what you also need to know
Breaking Shadow-linker
Instincts
Shadow counter
Auto double,
linker, manual
ender
etc,
Iron Galaxy is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Killer Instinct by launching a new Anniversary Edition for Xbox and PC and an extensive patch several years after the latest update.
There isn't going to be any chance of this being played at tournaments unless it appears on all platforms like all fighting games.
A free-to-play fighting game? This was unheard of at the time, but Killer Instinct has proven it's not only doable, but enjoyable!
I disagree with a few of the things said in this write up. I'm not worried about the game at all. It looks and plays fantastic and DH and the man himself Ken Lobb has said that the game will be supported for a long time to come.
I do like the idea of anyone being able to pick it up and play, but that doesn't mean they'll be good. Easy to play hard to master comes to mind.
You have to time combo breakers, counter breakers, and also shadow breakers, as well as do an ender on combos to get major damage. I don't think the game is flat either.
In fact it might be to much going on, from the dynamic music to parts of the stage being destroyed, to all the freaking particles.
Dh may have had a bit of a rotten run with some of their earlier games, but I believe they're hitting a homer with Killer Instinc.
Looks to me like it's pretty repetitive
are they still sticking to that system where you have to buy the characters individually or can you just buy a boxed copy with everything?
Main reason to be worried about it:
Double Helix is a horrific developer.
Main reason to be excited about it:
It's basically a port of the old game. It's going to be pretty hard to screw up, especially with Lobb's direction.
