Xbox One "will be awesome", says Warframe studio - "we'd be silly not to consider" releasing for it

I like the looks of Warframe, but I hear mixed things about how it handles, and after Star Trek I'm not sure I trust Digital Extremes... :( Anyone here played much of the PC version?

I haven't played it much but it isn't bad (free part). There is a ton of stuff to buy though (new war frames have different abilities) but it sounds like they can be earned in game but likely take a long, long time (way most f2p works).

The main reason I like it is its coop and great for shorter sessions (way its designed with revive system is most annoying part of the whole thing similar, again, to many f2p titles). However what I have played so far single player is still viable but somewhat tougher.

Its not something to compete with bigger titles but a nice filler and "short" session game due to limited revives a day (can buy more or wait--resets but not sure at what time).

I haven't looked too deep in to it really and only played a few hours (never hit revive limit but think it was rather low).

Yes majority of weapons and warframes can be made by farming.

Far as animation goes usually its okay. Rarely you might see a enemy fall through the floor or become like elastic man and stretch but they will disappear a few seconds later.

Aiming, if you're used to gamepad I would recommend using a 360 controller. However if you're used to gaming with a keyboard and mouse. Other than that choosing form a input aiming seems pretty good to me.

Far game physics goes things can explode objects and even enemies. Occasionally you're put into a environment where part of the area you're in is on fire or has ice on the ground. Yes this can effect the character by the way.

My friend who works there says that there were far too many cooks in the kitchen on Trek and they lost their true focus on their goals and objectives for the title due to the in fighting and other BS that he didn't elaborate on.

And of course they'd be effed in the head to not want to release of XboxOne. They're making money with the title, no doubt they're in dire straights since they're no longer working on Halo levels and Trek basically bombed and crapped the bed on them. Get wide penetration hit all the major consoles and see if they can recoup some of their losses and rebuild.

Its as if, they think that because they don't like it no one else should. I'm not going to buy the Xbone because it requires Kinect, but I still want to see what they're doing in case things change.

The better MS does the better Sony has to do, thats why we in America love competition. Right now MS is trying to get the Xbone on the PS4's level before launch and it appears to be working. I'm hoping Sony adds some TV features as well. Maybe app from you cable provider or something. But right now I look at those line ups and I thank the gaming gods that the PS4 line up looks better.

I have put in over hundreds of hours into Warframe. Overall its a good game but it still has some flaws. Warframe is a team-base PvE game with no PvP option.

Starting off you get to choose from three Warframe (Excalibur, Loki and Mag). Each starting Warfame comes with four abilities. You won't be able to use all four abilities on your first run but you will after leveling up some. Excalibur usually the Warframe people choose when first starting out because it provides a decent offensive along balance shield and health. Mag is more of a ability user than the other two. Not only that Mag shield tends to be stronger than the other two. Loki is more of stealth type warframe given that his abilities like invisible and switch teleport. Sadly he is the weakest of the three. His shield and health starts off at 75. The max level for a Warframe is 30.

Your starting weapons is a Braton(rifle), Lato(handgun) and Skana(sword). Each weapon has mod slots which can add different effects like freeze damage, armor piercing and increase weapon. You can get more mods from doing more missions. Each weapon max out at level 30.

You can purchase more weapons with either credit(currency you get from missions), platinum(cash shop currency) or you can farm the materials for the weapon after you acquired the blueprint. Warframes however can only be purchase with platinum BUT you can also farm Warframe parts like you do weapons. The downside to farming that it can be time consuming. Even after you gather all the necessary material you still have to wait for the item to be build. 12 hours is the least amount time I've seen for building weapons. 3days is the most I've seen for Warframes.

You start off on Mercury. Mercury will offer several types of missions like sabotage, spy and extermination. Not only that but Mercury has a stage where you will face a boss character. Captain Vor is the first boss you will face. Bosses like Vor can drop blueprints for weapons and Warframes.

The blueprint will show the required material you need to make the weapon or Warframe. In order make certain weapons and warframes you will need the blueprint unless you buy the weapon or warframe with platinum. If you do buy a weapon or warframe with platinum it will be instantly put in your inventory.

The game offers numerous systems like Mercury where you will face different enemies. Even after putting over 100hrs I still have yet to complete have off the solar system.

Based on the ten minutes I've played it there are no apparent technical or gameplay-based issues other than the partial controller support. You can use a 360 controller, but not in the menus and you still get kb/m promts on-screen.

It seems like a pretty cool game overall, and it's less than 3gb if my memory serves me right.

And suddenly MGSV is less anticipated by Sony fans? I think not. They're just empty words, but these people will buy and enjoy whatever Kojima puts out. The multiplatform status of the HD collection didn't stop the naysayers from buying it and neither will MGSV.

Insomniac made their own bed with Fuse when they listened to a bunch of 12 year olds in a focus group led by EA. Multiplatform status has nothing to do with the failure of that game on multiple levels. It doesn't make Sunset Overdrive look any less interesting than it does currently. However, Overstrike also looked very interesting in teaser trailer form, so I'm not holding my breath on that.

Not sure about MGS, but Insomniac went downhill since the switch. Their last game was a disappointing and nothing on the horizon which could let them bounce back. Don't care about Warframe. Have it on PC and probably gonna download it on the PS4 ASAP it's available.

Xsilvermist, Halo will always be my favorite game, it brought me more great memories with old friends and family than you can ever imagine. I will be forever grateful to Bungie for that. I was really sad they went independent but happy they got to explore new dreams, never once did I hate them or say anything bad about their choice. I saw not all but too many so called Kojima fans really dis him on n4g, thats the difference in both fanbases.

If anybody can, Bungie can do it, Destiny looks great but I think the only problem is its hard to bottle that majic you get from a big hit, in other words Destiny will be great but I doubt it will grab me like Halo did, its not that they aren't doing bigger and better things its just that Halo for its time was truly defined the landscape for a console fps.

Besides that, there's the whole need to attack other people's choices thing. It happens way more on the Sony end of things. In general, MS fanboys typically defend their choice of console blindly, where Sony fanboys do that AND relentlessly attack any and all competition to Sony.

I love every Sony console I have ever owned and will love my PS4 when I get it, but Sony fanboys drive me up a wall with the way they act.

I actually completely agree with you. Fanboys are sad, sad creatures. My point isn't that Xbox or PC or any other console's fanboys are better or anything like that. I was just stating that the lengths that some Sony fanboys go to are above and beyond what the others do.

I wouldn't mind if all camps simply blindly defended their console of choice. There's something romantic about that. It's the attacks and the belittling and the horrible ways that people talk to each other over something as inconsequential (in the long run) as the preference of a video game console.
