Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F for PS Vita Rated by the ESRB

So far Sega announced only the PS3 version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, that will be available on the PSN this August, but those that would rather play the game on PS Vita now have a reason to hold some hope.

Would really be awesome.

Found these games to be more fun as a portable game.

Wonder if they'll give some JPN song dlcs as free content for a localized version.

Yeah, these games in my opinion are much more suited for a handheld. I actually don't care too much for the music, but the gameplay is quite fun. I'd most likely pick this up if it were on Vita. (I plan on getting the PS3 version too if possible, just to help with sales. We need more Japanese games being localized!)

I thought it was already coming for Vita?

Nah, it was announced they'd be bringing the PS3 version over, not the Vita version.

Imported the game as well as the limited edition white Miku Vita model but this news still excites me cause if you like rhythm games this is a must have. Fun, addictive, great songs, loads of features & some of the most insane gameplay there is.

I swear sega. I've been waiting a year, before I even had a vita for you to localize this and a year for you to 5 months for you to localize phantasy star online 2. WTFFFFF, HURRY UP. Is it the frealing hard to change the menu ui from japanese to english and add subtitles to the songs? Fans could've done it in a week or less. I mean look how fast they transalate anime, 3 hours max.

A Look at All of the Rhythm Games Available on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Despite its somewhat anaemic lineup of backwards-compatible titles (unusual in light of the genre’s strong pedigree on Sony consoles), Vita’s selection of rhythm games is highly impressive in the modern market with genre favourites like DJMax, Hatsune Miku and Taiko no Tatsujin all present and plenty of quirky oddities like Deemo, Love Live & Persona thrown in for good measure. You’re definitely going to need to try your hand at importing to get the most of the genre here, but that shouldn’t be an issue thanks to region-free hardware and easy-to-grasp gameplay."

10 Franchises That Flourished on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "the handheld was unable to attract certain types of software – western AAA development quickly evaporated, as did Sony’s own support, because there weren’t enough consoles out there for such titles to be profitable. But that doesn’t mean that every publisher failed to find success. Indeed, there are a number of franchises out there that have been able to appeal to the Vita’s niche and which have seen positive sales numbers and critical reception, leading to them becoming mainstays on the handheld.

It’s these series that I intend to examine in more depth this article – what they are, what entries we’ve seen, what success they’ve had, and what it’s meant for the console’s future. I’ll be using known sales figures where possible to back things up, hopefully demonstrating that the Vita has been a solid home for a number of great series despite its otherwise weak commercial performance on the market."
