I would kill to have a Way of the Samurai game with a huge budget and modern tech... The first game was one of my greatest joys on PS2 back in the day. And I really hope From Software will do something with Tenchu... I hate that they're just sitting on the IP like it doesn't even exist.
Tenchu would be superb in this day and age. Ninja and samurai games are hot right now and more is better.

I very much enjoyed this series, along with the old Tenchu games.
The problem is gaming has gotten too big, so much to the point that many great game ideas are being left out in the dust. Many franchises are now closed and won't have another game follow them.
Simply because its not funding viable.

What a terrible article. One failed attempt at humor after another, using what the author probably considers to be big words, along with lame references, like some failed attempt at ripping the style of someone like Patton Oswalt.
In any case, Way of the Samurai 3 is far from a bad game. Low budget? Sure. Niche? You bet. However, if this is what you consider to be bad, I don't think you could handle an actually terrible gaming title. Then again, half of the article seems to be this guy getting caught up on the low-end graphics, so I guess that tells us all we need to know.
