Michael Engle: Dark is an amalgamation of vampire and video game clichés that I wish I could say is so bad it's good. Unfortunately, it falls flat on almost every level. The evolution of the action-adventure stealth genre has had its fair share of highs and lows. From the overhead perspective of Metal Gear Solid to the seamless fluidity between combat and stealth in the Arkham series, being clandestine has changed significantly over the past decade. Now think of a certain lore that has degraded over the past ten years. What comes to mind? Something about sparkles, something about Abe Lincoln, something about a show on HBO that isn't Game of Thrones...

Greedfall is easily one of the best "diablo clones" on the market, and it's dirt cheap for the base games. Their lengthy expansions are still kind of pricey though.
Vampyr is a great mention, but it's already offered on certain subscription services, and can be found cheaper either way.
One more personal recommendation of mine is Elex. A lot of player agency in the story and quests, and the world is very interesting to explore. Just don't expect the best combat, and there's definite jank to be had.
Unless I'm thinking of the wrong game greedfall is not a diablo clone. It's more like a old bioware rpg
