Why I'm Choosing PlayStation 4 Over Xbox One

LH: Throughout this console generation, I have primarily been an Xbox 360 gamer. Whenever possible, I’d plump for the Xbox version of a game and rarely played PS3 exclusives unless work demanded it. This is in stark contrast to the previous generation, where I was a staunch PlayStation 2 supporter and barely even held an Xbox controller.

In a few months, my allegiance is going to shift yet again. However, I’ve come to realise this has nothing to with the future and everything to do with the present…

$500+$400+$350=$1250 before you even get to play a game. That doesn't seem very bright to me. And when you consider 90% of what the Xbox offers will also be available on the PS4 it makes that $500 that much harder to swallow.

PS4 has a great day 1 price so it is the smart buy for launch. While the Wii U and Xbox One need dramatic price cuts before consideration in my opinion. So yeah a real gamer will own all 3 eventual, but the savvy real gamer will wait to own all 3.

I have a PC but I'm still getting a PS4. I'm mostly a console gamer and PS4 will be the best choice for next gen.

More exclusives (20 > 15) from Sony's studios who actually have a decent/amazing track record, UNLIKE the majority of Microsoft's studios...

Not to mention we'll know support (for core new IP's) for the console will actually last instead being abandoned to the casuals (Just look at this year or years prior). MS scrapped most of their games from the past 3-4 years to focus on Kinect shovelware and try and fluff up their next gen lineup. lol It's been a barren wasteland for the 360. XD

More powerful, and future proof hardware.
Power > TV garbage

$100 cheaper etc. etc.

I'm not buying any of those consoles at launch. Only purchase when they reach the 300-350€ price tag. PS4 first then X1 later on. Since the best games are multiplatform (getting for PC) and no exclusive launch titles really interest me, i won't be loosing much. The only exclusives that i found interesting so far are Infamous (PS4) and Quantum Break (X1).

E3 2013 was the best E3 of Sony in the past 2 decades, that's why it's really easy to choose what platform to buy this next gen.. It's PS4

I already have a Wii U and this holidays i will get a xbox one with fifa 14, forza 5, killer instinct, dead rising, battlefield 4, ryse, i pre ordered a PS4 but so far probably only get killzone, knack looks lame IMO, i'll get driveclub for free on PSN+ but probably never touch it because of forza 5 (the king) so only KZ and waiting for infamous

The reason people keep talking about Xbone NSA or Xbone DRM being only on hiatus.....is because casuals need to know! They need to be informed.

You can bet MS Ad campaign will be all roses. And you surely believe consumers should be aware of all the known facts as well as likely future behaviour - behaviour indicated by MS history and current events.
