Allow me to explain: the wonderful Suikoden Revival Movement, a group dedicated to trying to revive Konami's equally-wonderful RPG series, has declared today "Suikoden Day"—a festive occasion created to celebrate all things Suikoden.

easily one of the best JRPG franchises ever created but for some reason almost nobody has played it. Probably because they are not as flashy as FF or as dark and stylistic as SMT's, but the truth is that Suikoden games always deliver good stories and amazing gameplay. Even the games that are considered the worst in the franchise, Tactics and IV, are actually very good games too.

I miss this series so much. Suikoden 1, 2, and 5 are up there with my favorite jrpgs of all time.
Suikoden II is one of my all time favorite games along with FFVII & Xenogears & just to understand how much I love the series listen what I did in order to play Suikoden III, I'm from EU & Suikoden III never came here so I spent a lot of money to import a US PS2 because the game is region-locked & then import the game also from US so in total I spent almost 200 euro few years back just to play 1 game, that's how much I love Suikoden, I still have the game & the console but never use it again.
Never played the original but the sequel blew my mind when I played it on PS1.
Suikoden II,III and V are my favorites.
