It's an f2p MMO with it's own servers, so I doubt there will be limits to the number of players. FF11 ran on ps2 with no limits.

In total 6000 players. 2000 on each continent, and they will add another continent eventually.

You can switch between continents any time in real time.

From what I've read, the plan is to eventually have as many as seven continents. So far there's desert, snow, and grassland environments. The incoming fourth one is swampy looking.

Besides the continents, they are working on adding "Battle Islands" where two smaller teams can fight.

If it's anything like the PC version it's going to be 2000 per server divided on to three different continents. Devs said players can mass in one continent but we tried it and the wait time to transfer was 10-30 minutes long. There was a ridiculous amount of Vanu just screwing around in HQ. We took over Indar like a plague. Happened in Mattherson server.

Transferring back to Esamir or Amerish took less than 10 seconds.

Btw, do not buy the foregrip. Laser attachment is far superior. Also, that's how the game looks on PC. Why is it called atmospheric? Biodomes are the best place to get ridiculous amount of kills as defenders.

I'm a huge fan of that look. Being on a planet, look into the sky and there're multiple planets close by and then a sun. I think Riddick had a scene where there were two suns. That was an impressive video. Thanks for that!

This has become my most anticipated title lately. There are a lot of great gameplay videos on YouTube, many of which last an hour or more. My favorites are the MLG War Report vids that pit two or three outfits against each other and have commentators like a sporting event. I'll probably end up making a character in each empire on different servers.

They say no because of the difference in how the platforms get patched. Mouse and keyboard control vs controllers is probably an issue as well, though PS4 may support mouse and keyboard also.

Nah I doubt it. The control schemes are too different.

I'm sure there will be plenty of users on the PS4 though seeing as it is a highly rated f2p launch game.

I wonder if we can sync our PC account with the PS4 version. I doubt it because of the trophies but damn... i want my fully loaded Scythe upgrades transferred.

I ran PS2 maxed 60FPS with i5 3.1 ghz CPU, Radeon 6950 2GB and 8GB of RAM so it shouldn't be a problem for PS4

PS1 is OLD and was amazing. It was PC only BUT you can play PS2 now on PC free to play just get it from their website (Google Planetside 2) or through steam. It's great fun. It's an MMOFPS so to answer your question, yes it is only MP.
