OXM: Universe at War: Earth Assault Review

Fortunately, Universe at War's multiplayer game - which supports cross-platform play with PC gamers through Xbox and Windows Live - eventually makes forget the dodgy single-player A.I. With 29 detailed maps supporting up to four players in custom or ranked games, an accelerated DefCon Mode (where an automated research tree delivers advanced weapons more quickly), and an ambitious Risk-style Conquer the World Mode, there's enough hiccup-free online diversion here to keep you going for months.

If Petroglyph can fix the single-player AI, smooth out some of the game's graphics slowdowns, and provide a camera that zooms back more than a few inches, chapter two of Universe at War could well challenge Battle for Middle-earth II for overall Xbox 360 RTS honors.

But the savings are unbeatable. Just Cause2, Witcher 2, Plants Vs Zombies, Torchlight, Splinter Cell, blah, blah, blah. .. so many games I've purchased recently. It is almost like needing a fix, I am addicted to buying these discounted games! The only problem is that steam lists this game for $19.99 not $15.00

And even though I like Steam's crazy deals most of the time, you still have to sanity check Amazon.com, because they have this game for $7.23 @ the moment.

Fingersports Review - Universe at War: Earth Assault

‘Pew Pew Laser Beams’

Right, like many of you (I’m sure), I can’t wait for the new Aliens Vs Predator game. I’ve really enjoyed the series and hope this new title won’t disappoint! So I’ve pre-ordered it via Steam out of laziness and habit. For some reason, they’re giving away some RTS I’ve never really paid any attention to with it. Universe at War: Earth assault. Um, well that’s nice.
