Miyamoto gets it, I would play a game thats fun with a simple story over a complex story with button prompts, any day, In most cases Gameplay and ensureing the game is fun to play should come first.

Totally agree. Miyamoto is a legend. His gaming philosophy should live on and inspire devs to shun the gritty serious shooters and understand that games are there for enjoyment and to have fun with.

Dont get me wrong I enjoy COD and all that sort of thing but I would never have as much fun playing those types of game than I would a staple Nintendo franchise.

People say they recycle the same old washed up IPs but they do something unique every time. Pikmin 3 does look amazing and I really hope it helps shift some units.

Gameplay is a lot more important than the story. A great story can only be experienced once while great gameplay doesn't get old.

From the sound of it every level has an open world structure (Pikmin games are very exploration based).

Really disappointed this game wasn't at launch, better be perfect :P
