This game is definitely running at 1080p 60fps its a 10 year old game with simplistic graphics so this shouldn't come as a shock to anyone. Looks beautiful.

Baonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Super Mario 3D World, and DK TF were all confirmed to be running in native 1080 and 60fps. The Wii U is a beast. Not as powerful as a PS4 or even the Xbone, but still significantly more powerful than current gen consoles. And it's amazing considering how tiny in size the Wii U is compared to the other two next gen consoles.

Neoninja3988d ago

Even though this is one of my least favorite Zelda games, that is quite the accomplishment. Hopefully they can do the same for Zelda HD.

Muffins12233988d ago (Edited 3988d ago )

They can defiantly do 1080p...but 60fps?IT depends how graphically far they go... if they have really nice graphics like that tech demo you saw 2 years ago almost for legend of zelda at e3,then it wont run at 60fps.

Theyellowflash303987d ago

Nintendo actually confirmed that that demo was in 1080p 60FPS. I think they can do it if the reduce the number of on screen objects

r40k2133987d ago

I would really HOPE they can run a game from two generations ago at 1080p 60 fps. It's not like they'll need extra smooth models or detailed textures, the game is cel-shaded.

ZodTheRipper3988d ago

Did you expect less with the remake of a 10 year old game?

PygmelionHunter3987d ago

Actually, if you go with the info provided by the N4G troll comments, the Wii U is about as powerfull as a PS3 or 360 if not less, consoles that could barely run PORTS of 10+ years old games at 720p...

Dgander3987d ago

@PygmelionHunter I dont know why u got the dislikes but youre actually right. People have been trolling the Wii U's graphical power on this website since launch. Its funny after seeing Mario Kart 8 and Monolith's X everyone pretends to forget what they thought about the console 2 weeks ago.

seraphym883987d ago

Lol i love the phony and microdrone trolls. Dont listen to the BS, this game is re made, not reskinned or simply put in 1080. If the just put it in 1080 then it woulda been a launch title easily.... so no, this is a beautiful game on wii u, that is true HD....AND 60fps....an accomplishment that not many games are doing on ps4 and xdone. thank you come again.

BullyMangler3988d ago

A new feature this game will add is; The player can now write something on a piece of paper then put the message in a bottle which will then wash up on the shores of other players’ games = GENIUS.

Sony and microSOFT will soon follow and do something similar like they always copy watch ha haa

RevXM3987d ago (Edited 3987d ago )

Because we couldnt just Send a message or HIT the share button? Look stuff up on youtube to solve a problem?

you know... instead of throwing hours away searching the beaches far away from the objectives like a madman for a useful message in a bottle going through yo mama jokes, "UR GAY LOL" or "I like tents" type of messages...

Its kind of a neat detail, but you almost make it sound like nintendo invented wikipedia or e-mail.

Added:
Yeah my response was kind of for the worst case scenario/Parody... but I hope you see where Im coming from atleast.

BullyMangler3987d ago (Edited 3987d ago )

Is not about surfing the sea in search for the bottles, is about sailing to your next destination and coming across what looks to be a bottle with a scroll inside <

understand now?

...sigh....some people.....

I'd put Street Fighter 2 over 3. 2 and all its different versions dominated the arcade scene back in the day in a way that 3 never did.

Abear21192d ago

Agreed, Same with Metal Gear Solid imo. Came for Bioshock and was not disappointed. Would easily put Burger Time or Space Taxi over tempest. Also, OG Sim City and Oregon Trail. Mario 64 as well. Just too many!

Abear21192d ago

Never played it I gotta get on this one

Double_O_Revan192d ago

Me too. I didn't have a GC until way later and never played it. I've been waiting on Nintendo to release the HD edition on the Switch for forever, but they just won't!

FinalFantasyFanatic192d ago

I never bought a Gamecube, I've always had an urge to play this game, maybe it'll get a remaster in the future.

LoveSpuds191d ago

I played it on WiiU for the first time and it remains my fave Zelda game to date. So much character and a real sense of exploration without the open world bloat.

Petebloodyonion192d ago

Ms Pacman?
Robotron?
SSF2 Turbo over 3 simply by the 10000000000's ports of the game we're still having
Castlevania SOTN?
Zelda Link to the Past over Wind Waker
Super Mario Bros 3?
Chrono Trigger?
Resident evil4?
COD MW2 (the original)?
Uncharted 2
Metal Gear Solid?

Here's my reasoning for all of them versus the list proposed in the article.
They are still quite enjoyable from start to finish on their original platform, unlike some Wind Waker or Okami that are fun when you play the remastered version (unless you call: forced to watch a 20-minute cutscene or have to blow for wind chance constantly fun).
Some of them are the pinnacle of what the console could do (MGS, Chrono, MGS)
Lots of them are still considered the go-to-go game for their genre.

Said it before but Heart of Darkness is truly a timeless gem.
