E3 Battleground: Xbox One Vs. PlayStation 4

Lifehacker: After nearly half a decade of samey sequels and minor hardware tweaks, Microsoft and Sony are finally preparing to launch brand-new video game consoles at the end of this year.

Here’s an overview of what we now know, along with the console we think came out on top.

ps4 for me plus I have my ps4 on preoder ?

When you sum it up, MS is in trouble, they are gonna have to really fight to keep in the game. We are seeing the biggest xbox fans turning their opinions. As far as games go Sony will be consistent with developing titles, they WILL have the games, just not all at once. I believe MS doesn't have the legs to hold up two consoles, 360 will die quicker than ps3. Looking at the comments on youtube, it's about 9 to 1 positive for the ps4! Youtube isn't biased, it's the most neutral site out there.

Who can counter me in this argument? Verdict is MS down fall

i must say the ps4 price is sweeeeetttt ..although i always have online connection so xbox one requirement won't be a problem for me. It's unfortunate ps4 online you have to pay for it now. :-/ but bottom line is you cannot pass up buying a ps4 but xbox one games line up are really good. so for me ps4 buy first then xbox one when the price drop alil :-)
Happy gaming all.

At least now the trolls have less info to fapp out to.

1.) Both consoles are ugly as sin
2.) Paid online
3.) Specs are so similar it will come down to devs to see any difference (if ever).
4.) Both have a solid amount of exclusives
5.) No backwards compatible
6.) Both have blu-ray

DRM, Kinect, $100 price difference, and that touchpad still all suck, no joke. Trolls and fanboys really have their work cut out for them to grasp and very minor differences between them now. I almost feel sorry for them....nah nvm I don't.

$100 is a pretty big deal, but yeah, not a lot in it.

Hellvaguy, I find it interesting you think their specs are similar when the PS4 has the faster systems operation (the PS4 will run at 1.84 teraflops which is 50 percent faster than the Xbox One) and faster ram. Not only that, 7gb of the faster ram is always available for gaming while "only" 5gb of the Xbox One's slower ram is available for gaming. That is not close. You also compare the online component when anybody who has both live gold and psplus (as I do) knows psplus offers far more and pays for itself within a few months of ownership with free game content. You need to get your "facts" straight before making a list.

my gaming laptop is 300% than the ps4 and my desktop even higher than that. In turns of real world, these are just superficial figures. Plus the gpu is far more important than the cpu for gaming.

Price could be the deciding factor here.

We know MS has a bigger marketing budget, so can continue to advertise XBox like crazy. This worked when they had a head start and a price advantage. But that's gone.

I'm sure a few people in MS HQ were shocked by the price announcement Sony made. $50 cheaper was kinda expected (and hoped for) - but $100, that's huge in this financial climate.

It is a shame that to play online requires a PS+ account. But if it results in a better network and experience, I guess we'll have to live with it (I'm already a PS+ subscriber and have no intention to cancel as it's an awesome service). I expect that once non-subscribers get over the annoyance they'll find out that getting access to free games will make things a lot easier to swallow.

$100 could be a difference to some. Idk Im on an adult income now so a one time $100 difference isn't a big factor. I could see how it would be for others like parents and teenagers.

*Funny how sony fans are suddenly ok with paying for online now on the ps4, when that was such a huge trolling thread for so many years now.

Doug’s Nightmare review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "There’s no medium more nonsensical than video games. Doug’s Nightmare is a perfect example of this, being a twin-stick top-down shooter based around anxiety and the darkness it brings. It’s a subject well worth highlighting, impacting more people’s lives than many realise, but it also has a coffee-loving banana called Doug as its protagonist. Then again, the antagonist is a perfect embodiment of anxiety – a thoroughly rancid black banana. A fitting analogy."

What does auspicious mean for dummies? of good omen; boding well for the future; favorable; propitious.

Look at the game and its track record, and proceed to guffaw.
