Interview: Sniper Elite V2 Wii U - What about the DLC and Miiverse updates?

"Sniper Elite V2 released a few weeks ago for the Wii U, and the description for the game on the Wii U's eShop says, "You are elite US sniper, Karl Fairburne, sent behind enemy lines into besieged Berlin during the final moments of World War II. You uncover a horrifying plot which threatens to kill millions of civilians throughout Western Europe, and which would irreversibly change history as we now know it. Make every single bullet count or the world dies with you."

If you don't know, the game was originally developed by Rebellion and published by 505 Games for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 last year. The Wii U version currently has a MSRP of $59.99, and received an ESRB rating of "MATURE" with "Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Language" listed as content for parents and gamers to be aware of.

I reached out to Rebellion and 505 Games with some questions about Sniper Elite V2 on the Wii U, such as will the game be updated to allow in-game pictures to be posted to its Miiverse community? Also, what about the DLC for the Wii U version? I did receive answers to these questions about the game, and a few more as well, so brew yourself some coffee and hit the jump to learn more about Sniper Elite V2 for the Wii U!", writes CoffeeWithGames.

Well it's nice to know this game is actually running at a slightly higher resolution than previous console versions, every other review I have read has said there were zero improvements besides the gamepad functions. However I'm still very disappointed they didn't do more, local co-op and maybe some optional motion controls for sniping could have really made this game somthing special. In regards to taking in game screen shots its quite obvious that Nintendo didnt allow this I don't think they want children sharing gruesome head shots on there Miiverse dummy.

Another round of layoffs: 505 Games closes in Spain, France and Germany

The news that Digital Bros. (and its publishing subsidiary 505 Games ) is in the process of restructuring is not new. It was last November when, in the midst of the maelstrom of layoffs in 2023, they announced that they were laying off 30% of the workforce , especially employees belonging to the development studios. This restructuring, like the international maelstrom, seems to be still underway and now affects the offices of the Italian multinational located throughout Europe.

505 Games Says 'It’s fine to secretly like Crime Boss: Rockay City'

505 Games has issued a very self-aware satirical update for Crime Boss: Rockay City, given the poor reception to the game.

I would of checked it out but far as i know its an online gta5 type game. Had it been single player inwouldve bought I to try by now

FyBy170d ago

I play it as a single player from the start. Game is massively updated. Its much better than when it started. But has its flaws of course. And its not gta 5 type game. Its totally different. Here, it is something like heist centered defender of the crown mixed with rogue lite genre. Definitely worth it.
Of course with some friends, it would be much more fun.

Trying to gaslight us into thinking people are hiding that they like it.

Exactly what I was thinking 🤣

coolbeans170d ago

Points for the self-awareness though.

Yui_Suzumiya170d ago

I'd rather play this then GTA, lol

It's no secret that it won't flush. It's pathetic and something just about every actor on that roster will likely not mention with serious excitement or promote it themselves. The cringe is the talent that went snuggling up to it for the $$$ opportunity. So lame and backyard buddy homebrew-level feeling. Total cash grab. Minimum efforts all around. Nice Hollywood reverse engineering a plot based on their talent pool to carry a game into lame territory.

Game was ass.
Bought it to give it a try and it was beyond dead, as was the discord server.
Impossible to play online.
