The Fable series has been either a hit more miss with gamers, mostly a miss. While the games have been fun to a degree, they haven’t lived up to the hype.
An independent UK developer says it’s been forced to announce and postpone its game on the same day, and lay off more than half of its staff, due to the sharp downturn in investment in the games industry.
Fable 4's development seems to be well underway, and a look at the original trilogy reveals a few elements the upcoming title needs to reprise.
One of the biggest reveals at this year's Xbox Games Showcase was the latest Fable trailer. After a lengthy stint of silence, Playground Games gave us a look at bits of the title, albeit in a trailer that was mostly made up of CGI nonsense headlined by comedian Richard Ayoade, who is playing a rather frustrated giant.
Molyneux asked about what he thought about the Fable reveal.
Sorry for the bad editing in the description, meant to post "a hit or miss". Cheers!
The first one was the best, Fable 2 and 3 were said to offer alot but never did.
Then the puppet one look to kiddy and the Kinect one did look cool but not to many want to use Kinect.
I like a Fable game to be what they said it will be and without Kinect or at least not force to use Kinect.
Really!?i would have never quess that.talk about beating a dead horse.
I was super hyped for the original Fable- and while it was a good game it fell way short of what i really wanted. Then every iteration that followed seemed to stray further and further from what the original idea molynewz told us the series would represent.
Sorry but I feel Skyrim came along and was (or was at least close enough to) the 'Fable' I always wanted.
Really enjoyed the first 3, but will probably never touch the Kinect abomination, Fable: The Journey. And not planning on an Xbox One, so likely won't play another, sadly.
