It may be years away, but whenever it arrives, Fallout 5 needs to improve on its predecessor in several areas.
They really need to get rid of weapon mods and bring back more unique weapons that are hard to get / find
They won't improve it other than a slight graphical upgrade. They have always been better at live action than making games.
Only way it could improve is taking it away from Bethesda and regroup Classic Fallout (1&2) devs with decent budget and time to make it.
Weirdly undercooked, despite resolution and frame-rate improvements on console.
So PS5 is the only version that has any real improvements and that's in the quality settings, those modes are busted on the Xbox.
For PC they added ultra widescreen and then broke everything that the mods fixed.
They did give us some basic new missions and some boring weapons though, so thanks I guess.
I never once tried quality mode, I only use performance mode on SX. So I cant even tell if there was supposed to be a difference or not.
40 fps ultra is pretty nice though...just wish lods were ultra too...this was a huge chance for ms to show why they are better keepers of bethesda games than bethesda, and they didnt...if support for fallout 4 ends without the unofficial patch becoming baseline built in, then MS will prove it is all pr no substance.
Should have got a finger out and remade Fallout 3 and New Vegas as a duo.
With the new show, it would have sold MASSIVELY.
Bethesda should have been more on the ball with contracting other studios to make spinoff Fallout games. Hell, if they just got the New Vegas team back for another one it would have been an absolute triumph.
I have a theory that Bethesda has a major insecurity about other studios outdoing them though (especially after Starfield) so would explain why.
Playing through it on PS5 Performance and it looks and moves great imo. I’m in the Institute, just finished the Cabot House sides. No hiccups or bugs as of yet.

Edit: Looking at the list for the supposed "Dream Line-up for PS4" http://www.gamepur.com/news... it lists Batman Arkham 3 (which isnt even called that) Demons Souls 2, Legacy Of Kane, Mirrors Edge 2, Star Wars 1313 (which was cancelled)

Articles like this usually mean little to nothing. They just arbitrarily post these products to their site to a) drive traffic to them and b) just to have as a place holder. I wouldn't take this as real news. We all know it's going to happen before this bit came out.
So? I could put up a website in a few minutes that says it's coming out tomorrow, what does that prove? When Bethesda's website gives the date then I will believe it..
Still playing fallout 3 and new vegas,this is yhe games I love most of all games out there,so im hoping F4 comes to pc next year,I finished fallout new vegas 6 times!(praying for F4 LOL)
Don't be suprised if it came 2015 I mean Bethesda Game Studios releases a game (Elder Scrolls or Fallout) every 3 years.At 2003 Elder Scrolls III Morrowmind, at 2006 Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, at 2008 Fallout 3 and at 2011 Elder Scrolls V Skyrim so why not take 4 years to develope it and make it even bigger?I know it's a long way till 2015 but I'm sure Bethesda will make oneother masterpiece,and if I remember correct early 2013 I think bethesda game studios developers were visiting Boston and taking pictures so don't be suprised......
