Following on from the Xbox One announcement this week, its clear that Sony is putting the consumers and developers first, while Microsoft is more concerned about themselves and publishers.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game takes full advantage of the movie it is based on to present a fun multiplayer experience.
Games Asylum: "Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog weren’t the only platforming heroes receiving system-selling sequels in 1992. Over in Japan, the PC Engine’s Kaizō Chōjin Shubibinman (Shockman) series gained its third entry. US gamers had only just received the second game, and while there was hope of the CD-based Kaizō Chōjin Shubibinman 3 making it to the US, it was never to be. After playing through this newly translated re-release, it’s easy to see the potential it may have had – it’s comparable visually to Mega Drive/Genesis games released the same year and would have likely been positively received in the likes of EGM and GamePro."
The success of Persona 3's remake has paved the way for the first two games in the series to do the same, and Persona 6 can capitalize on this.
Please, keep the original art style and feel at least. Do not dilute these classics and turned them into clones of their sub-par sequels.
Also, how about some Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army and Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon love? And a sequel wouldn't hurt either. Something along the lines of Code Vein or even Scarlet Nexus would be cool. Just, you know, keep the original art style and feel.
I'd like remakes of them but I think it'd divide the fanbase, the modern persona fans and old fans of the originals. Would atlus pursue the original feel? Or make it more like modern persona?
Sony=For gamers and developers.Thank you for not backing out on us!
Sony's product is a gaming console with entertainment apps on the side.
MS's product is a cable box with the bonus feature of being able to play games, assuming that you're willing to pay for LIVE and have confirmed that you've connected to the internet within a 24 hour timeframe.
The one thing Sony needs to do is be more aggressive with their media apps support in both acquiring and advertising.
Would still love to see them pair GoogleTV to the PS4, so long as its a version that doesn't duplicate apps PSN already have.
There's only one Playstation and this is why I've always supported them since their birth in 1994
Pros
-Easy to develop for
-Indie friendly
-Not always online
-Doesn't seem to be blocking used games
-Games are the focus with social media stuff being complementary and not the main dish
-Won't be that infamous $599
-Basic PSN is likely still free, so no paying to play online
Cons
-Likely won't have Backwards compatibility due to not using the CELL anymore, may be remedied with Gakai(?)
-Likely can't offset the cost of buying a PS4 by selling your PS3 due to PS4 likely not having BC (unless you don't play your PS3 games anymore)
Sony's looking pretty good right about now.
