Xbox One ... Step In The Grave

May 21st 2013 will go down in history as the day gamers the world over could be heard physically facepalming themselves in utter disappointment. It was on that day that Microsoft unveiled their "next gen console," the XBox One.

Honestly as a owner of both sony and Microsoft stock.I think sony is going to do the best this generation BUT i think Microsoft will do well and there going to marketed it towards families.If they set it at the right price and market it good with some cool application for kinect i think it will sell great with kids and parents.

What sounds appealing to the gamer?The ps4 dose... that's what people don't understand,the next xbox one is not marketed towards gamers or you,they honestly don't give a shit about you.Nintendo found a whole new set of new gamers with wii and there called casuals. you can be a gamer and utilize all of those features, the issue lies with it being forced on the gamer, if MS makes the majority of this stuff optional then it should be fine since people will again focus on the games once next gen starts rolling

How is it going to appeal to families if it is expensive, when they could buy the cheaper alternative the 360 w/kinect for $149 (Its coming.)

The core market supports the early adoption of a system. And the PS4 will dominate that market.

The Xbone will have a limited user base anyway, due to having to have a strong internet connection. So poorer countries, and smaller towns will also get PlayStations. (Remember Adam Orth, Why would I live there? LOL)

90% of the features they showed will only be available in the US. This thing is going to get buried in Europe, Asia, and the rest of the PAL region.

There are people who will always defend a console, and ignore the negatives.

A few people in my school are praising the Xbox One because of the apps and Kinect... It makes me sad that people really care so much about that, and not the games.

We all have a personal bias towards stuff, but if Sony were to do this I wouldn't even consider buying their console either. Same with Microsoft, I was hoping the next Xbox would have ditched live charges, but it seems they made it worse now. Otherwise I would have considered purchasing it.

It's very shocking to see Microsoft pull this, if I were the head of the division over there I would be scared out of my pants. We'll see what they change and don't change by the time the console arrives.

Even if PS4 does lock games to accounts, it still smashes Xbox One....the lock out is just Xbox 'One' of many problems for MS.

I can tell many MS fans are hard at prayer that PS4 locks games too....childish.

Wow there is a lot of hate on this site for the Xbox One now. Last few months it was all doom and gloom about the WiiU now its all about the Xbox one.

I really don't see why people are going on about the One the way they are. Yes Microsoft did not show any games they showed off the new system and its new features. We all know it will play games and this is not what the show was about. It was about the device and what it offers that is new as well as some new services.

As a gamer I wanted to see what MS were bringing to the market but we are very close to E3 and one thing people have complained about is that MS don't talk enough about games at E3 well they have said the One will have 15 Exclusives in its 1st 12 months so I think E3 will be more about gaming than now.

Sonys show was abit different. It was kind of a show that was admitting they had messed up with the direction they went with the PS3 and after speaking to developers ect they have now gone back to what they wanted in terms of hardware and power. Sony have also yet to show off the hardware to. Also Sony showed us a lot of demo products of what is possible with the PS4 and not game play.

For me I like the look of both consoles and I will wait until after E3 to see what both Sony and Microsoft offer before saying one is better than the other.

This isn't about waiting, this is about THIS conference. First impressions are VERY crucial for the initial success of any console. Even you have to admit this was a less than stellar presentation.

This is supposed to be a games console, yeah I know crazy in today's world, most of what was talked about was television related.

Sony might have shown demo products, but they were all GAME related. We saw tech demos, gameplay demos, game reveals, and a few game trailers. That presentation was good for games.

I know for a FACT, if Sony would have pulled any of this, you would have seen a flood of similar articles like these, just replace Microsoft with Sony and Xbox One with PlayStation 4.

We don't know what E3 will hold, but for now we can all say Microsoft better show things that will interest more, because right now a lot of people aren't happy. Anything can happen in June, but for now I'm sure as heck putting my money on the PlayStation 4, it just appeals gamers a lot more right now.

the demo's they shown were running in real time on prototype ps4 hardware KNACKS WAS INDEED REAL TIME GAMEPLAY SO WAS SHADOW FALL ALSO REAL TIME GAMEPLAY!

AND AS FOR NOT SHOWING HARDWARE!

all that means is the hardware does exist but the form factor, and that the final Hardware HAS NOT PASSED quality assurance tests just yet. that does not mean that they did not have hardware up and running and, running software in real time.

Also I am not saying the PS4 show was fake or that it was even bad all I am saying is I can see why ms have shown us what they did.

If you don't like it fine I could not care less and could not care less who some one is or who created what.

For me I am waiting until after E3 to make my mind up on if I get a PS4 or Next xbox but the show was not as bad as people were making out and this site likes to jump from one extreme to another. As I said last week was all about how the WiiU is a big flop and this week is all about how the xbox one is a big flop even though its not out yet.

We don't know enough about the PS4 or the xbox one to know which will sell well and which wont.

But that said any real gamer knows that Microsoft will give us big name games like Halo, Forza ect, Sony will give us Kill Zone, GT ect and Nintendo will give us Mario, Zelda ect and these are the reason why we pickup consoles not because they offer TV or Share play or remote play ect. We all get the console that has the games that we wont the most.

As I said I could not care less whos console has more power or the most IP's. I tend to buy all the consoles as they all offer me games I want on them.

I just find it funny how people just from one bandwagon to another.
