Metal Gear Rising: Blade Wolf DLC Review | D+PAD Magazine

D+PAD writes:

Raiden’s sword-wielding, ‘zan-datsu’ performing antics have certainly impressed, carving out a new mythology that runs alongside that of the Metal Gear Solid series. MGR is all about expanding rather than replacing, building on the lore that Hideo Kojima and his team spent years developing. What might surprise you however, is that while the first piece of downloadable content for Rising focused on the exploits of Jetstream Sam, this latest (and presumably last) offering has you seizing control of something altogether different, indeed less than human. His name is LQ-84i… these days better known as Blade Wolf.

Just remove what you seldom play, you can always dowload again from your diwnload list

Big problems PS+ gamers have, isn't? ;-)

My_precious3849d ago

Heisenburger3848d ago

I did that myself. I'll go and download the dlc from my lust if/when I ever play Revengeance. Better to have it and not need it...

Blade Wolf DLC gives character a story and an extremely short playthrough (Examiner)

The Jetstream Sam play-through added a story to one of the main characters of the story and a different style of play. While that was definitely worth the price, the new Blade Wolf DLC is skeptical.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance: Blade Wolf Review [Capsule Computers]

Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:

"Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was launched back in the middle of February and despite being a spin-off title that focused entirely on Raiden and was played as an action game, it was an amazing title that quickly established itself as a standout action game early this year. While the story revolved around Raiden, one character certainly deserved sometime in the spotlight, even if it was completely robotic. Thankfully Konami has brought fans exactly that, DLC that allows them to play as Blade Wolf, also known as LQ-84i. With players finally having a chance to play as Blade Wolf, is this DLC worth acquiring?"

Maybe it's too much to ask for: But I would have liked a level editor and an event maker for this game (As DLC). That way we can make levels, and present enemy scenarios/challenges and share it with each other online to make the game last longer (like LittlBigPlanet, Sound Shapes, and other games do). It was a short game, after all. Especially from a $60 stand point.

NovusTerminus4019d ago

That would do great, custom VR missions is all it has to be.

This has got to be the craziest idea for DLC in a long time, playable Blade Wolf!? wtf??

Donnieboi4019d ago

Platinum Games is weird. They make good games, but they seriously should have toned down the cheesiness in the game--we're talking about Metal gear here, man.

GOTTA LEAVE THEM ALL BEHIND!!!
