STP: In the last year, iOS games like Lili and Horn have shown us that epic action-adventure games are, in fact, possible on a touchscreen. Soon, we may be able to add another single-word title to the list: Spiral, an intriguing, futuristic game with outstanding Unreal Engine graphics and animation.
Despite some hiccups, Spiral Episode 1 will grant you a good time.
For a time it’s felt as though freemium games were going to take over iTunes, but lately more serious gamers have been treated to some actual games that draw us in based on their compelling gameplay, not on their ability to tease us into microtransactions. One such game is Spiral Episode 1, an action RPG that gets a lot right.
This action adventure that might be too linear for some, but generates real momentum with its story, impressive world, and varied gameplay.
