Super Mario 64 Highlights April's Club Nintendo Digital Rewards

Ugh why can't Super Metroid be available for the 3DS!? Man Nintendo are so damn slow in bringing SNES/GBA games to the handheld... Not even sure if they'll EVER do it. :\

Have they started putting SNES games onto the 3DS yet? I'm pretty certain its VC only supports GB, GBC, NES and Game Gear. Plus Super Metroid is going to be part of the Wii U's VC $.30 promotion.

I happen to be a 3DS Ambassador. The twenty games included were ten NES games (almost all of which are now on the VC, if not all of them) and ten GBA games which were announced early on to have "no plans to be released to the general public."

So GBA games are not really on the VC, the GBA games were simply part of the Ambassador program. And I don't really know how to answer your question, sadly.

They probably could do it, but I think they may wind up releasing GBA games on the Wii U first. I'm pretty sure they announced handheld platforms for the Wii U's VC. It makes no sense to me either.

No, they haven't bought any SNES/GBA games to the 3DS yet. If the VC only supports GB, GBC, NES, and Game Gear, why did the Ambassador program people get Metroid Fusion for 3DS? If it's possible to run the dang thing on a 3DS, why don't they put it up for sale?

True, but does it need to be that way? The 3DS can handle Ocarina of Time, why can't it handle Super Metroid?

Not with those D-pad controls

Needs more appreciation. I never had an N64 so this was what I played. Sure the Yoshi hat mechanic at first is a slog but you unlock Mario and the others for real and then it takes off. Personally I never had an issue with the controls. Can't forget the mini games and the 4 player rumble over download play.

Indeed, as stated in the article there were tonnes of control options and very much a 'take whatever you like, leave the rest' attitude to most of the game's extras.

Fusion did a great job at it. Really love that horror feel with metroid. I mean you are completely alone on alien planets filled with horrific monsters and toxic environments.
