Set to launch on PlayStation Network next week, Drinkbox Studios’ Guacamelee! aims to fill a hole in the PlayStation brand’s line-up. A platform-adventure videogame that wears it’s inspiration on its sleeve, Guacamelee! takes the classic Metroid template and coats it with a luchador thematic, cartoon style visual and deep love of everything that makes the videogames industry such an interesting piece of modern culture. It’s a heady mix, and one that aims to make the most of the unique features of the PlayStation formats.
The PS4 has a killer roster of incredible platformers. Ranging from simple 2D platformers to vibrant 3D platforming games.
No mention of Astrobot on the VR, one of the best platform titles Sony have put out
Guacamelee is an amazing Metroidvania series with a fun story and beautiful graphics. Check out Jason's Nindie Spotlight on this gem that highlights its unique art style and fantastic boss fights..

Hollow Knight is really good. GreenPath was my favorite area of the game.
Guacamelee 1 was also good. I got to check out G2.
In my opinion Guacamelle 2 is even better than first..hopefully we will get third game
I highly recommend TimeSpinner. It's on everything now but I played and platinum'd it on PS4. Excellent classic style MV with a cool 'time' element and hidden secrets, bosses, multiple ending/outcomes, etc. 9/10 from me.
Day 1 for me... saved that $10 PSN 'mystery' credit I got from Sony just for this game..
Played the demo at best buy, but I'm wondering why we didn't get one on the store, yet?
