Their is the announcement we all been waiting to hear. SEGA just announced that Company of Heroes 2 will be having its own exclusive, early access beta phase. Which will be happening next Tuesday on April 2! It isn’t the first, so we all should be safe from a fools day. Here are some of the details which were announced on the SEGA blog. Players will have a chance to play test the competitive multiplayer and skirmish game play giving players access to six maps along with 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 game play action. You can even gain up to the first 40 levels allowed in the game! Which for me, seems fair enough hence it is a beta. Now for the part where you may be asking, who gets to participate? The first phase of the closed beta will be open to pre-order customers only until the second phase of the beta comes in the next few weeks.
Sega has released its financial statement for the 2023-24 fiscal year, and profits may be up, but it's mostly not down to video games.
SEGA has announced Fearless: Year of Shadow, a campaign that celebrates Sonic the Hedgehog and his brooding acquaintance, Shadow.
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
