It's Happening: Dust 514 and EVE Online Merge Together

Developer CCP has undertaken the daunting task of making a PC game talk to a PS3 game. Well, it's finally happening. See the results for yourself.

Something like this should certainly appeal to the COD crowd. If the COD crowd weren't largely on another console.

Also have wonder if or how long it is before there are ship/space station boarding actions.

COD crowd? na i think this will be too complicated for them ;)
Also if you look at the numbers there is a difference of around 2m between the 360 and ps3 COD sales on a total of more than 20m, i think that the ps3 userbase will be enough. ;)

More like the MAG crowd. COD is like addition where as Dust 514 is like algebra. Too complicated for them. Im still getting use to Dust 514. However I can't wait for the Dust 514 Vita app.

You'd be surprised. For the first time ever. Black ops 2 has a consistently larger online player count on PS3, then 360.

Dust 514 is far too complex for the Call of Duty crowd.

The call of duty crowd cant handle a game like this. I play it nearly everyday and i can honestly say its been a few months since i started and I STILL get confused as to where to go with my skill points sometimes.

They say it's happening, but the devs haven't said anything about this. Footage certainly looks like a new build of the game. Also the dropsuit and rifle being used hasn't been seen before now so it must be. Wonder when this will actually happen, can't wait.

From what i heard from Eve players most of this footage was taken over the weekend. All the characters on the planet were PS3 users either from CCP or actual gamers. They tell me that if you look above they actually saw the battle going on in space looking like fireballs in the sky.

The last image with the Titan wreck actually happened according to those i talked to. I haven't been online in a week so i missed this but it looks like the game has improved a lot in terms of the looks & the equipment you are able to use.

It's cool to think that such an amibitous project is looking to be a very underrated game. I believe the game will make the jump to PS4 as CCP as stated & i wanna get back into it ASAP.

Eve Online is one of the best MMOs out there at the moment.

You really gotta hand it to CCP and the community.

The community (for the most part) - is much more mature than that of WoW and COD combined, the expansions are all free - and there is so much more to come in the near future.

Brilliant, brilliant game and universe.
