Volition: We Didn't Want Saints Row IV to Be a PS4 Launch Title

People question the quality of all of Saint's Row 3 just because it's insanely over the top and wacky.

I honestly don't get the hate with IV. Maybe I have my facts wrong. But I was under the impression that yes the central story was originally DLC for the 3rd and they have no taken it and expanded it into a full game. Meaning it will have the same or similar level of content as the 3rd. If that's the case why all the hate?

Did they say somewhere that they are just shoving the DLC onto a disc calling it the 4th game and selling it? And I'm really asking this I only bought the 3rd game about 2 weeks ago cause it was on a steam sale and if they are trying to pull something deceptive I would like to know so I don't get screwed with the 4th.

They could of done really well after the buy out, they could of had a next gen launch game and could of rebooted the series to go back to what it was like.

I think what they really mean is that they aren't going to wait to release this game later and would rather get their sales now before GTA V drops. So, we are basically going to be seeing another Medal of Honor: Warfighter situation. Basically, a game franchise is trying to beat its rival before they can release first. That's not a very smart strategy considering that they are going up against a juggernaut like Grand Theft Auto.

Not a smart move, honestly. Doesn't have to be exclusive to PS4, but Saints Row fans would definitely pick it up. And, as always, it being one of the (relatively) few games available at launch would give it exposure to a crowd of people who might otherwise not buy it.
