Wii U Gamers Want The First Bayonetta Released On The Wii U EShop

Bayonetta 2 reveal actually shocked quite a few players as it was completely unexpected: the first game was released on Ps3 and Xbox 360 a few years ago and Platinum Games was actually sceptical about developing a sequel. Thanks to Nintendo, the team decided to develop the game as a Wii U exclusive.

After the reveal a few gamers have asked about a possible Bayonetta release on the Wii U eShop to allow players who have missed the game to play it on the new Nintendo console. Hideki Kamiya, Platinum Games’ boss, didn’t actually deny the possibility, simply stating on a Twitter post back in January that it’s up to Nintendo and Sega.

good luck.. Theyd have to add some gamepad features & everything to it.. If Bayo 2 sells well, they might do it.. Up to the fans on what they receive.. If they dont buy the games, devs wont release them

"Theyd have to add some gamepad features"

Off-TV play. Problem solved. Plus they can use the download to promote the sequel.

DivineAssault is skeptical about everything, he's one of those 'sales equals everything guys'

How about just releasing Bayonetta 1 on the Wii U eShop and see how the sales do. You know, like how games used to be released.

Why the fu*k do we have to wait to see Bayonetta 2's sales, to get Bayonetta 1?

On top of that, DivineAssault has no idea how much it costs to put a game on the Wii U eShop, so his point is invalid.

Simple solution here - Nintendo purchases Sega. Then Nintendo can release any SEGA game they want. Case closed.

the gamepad becomes the new VMU for all dreamcast re-releases.

that aint half bad come to think of it.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo buying Sega, or vice-versa would cause irreparable damage to space-time.

camel_toad4069d ago

That makes me wonder if Sega would ever entertain the idea of getting back into the hardware business. HIGHLY unlikely but that would be interesting.

Gonna disagree purely for the fact that i want to play more valkyrie chronicles on PS3/Vita (PS4?)

adorie4069d ago

Lol. If Nintendo bought them out,I'd still keep buying their games, but that's only because we have a Wii U in the house, if not, I don't think I would be getting another Sega game any time after such a purchase.

I do have preferences and seeing as how Sega is making games on all platforms, I just can't see them trading their freedom and profit margins to become one with Nintendo.

ISNeko4069d ago

Bet Nintendo could make a great Sonic side scroller.

They don't need to add anything. Just dump a straight port of the 360 version onto the eShop. Off-TV play would be nice, but I think Nintendo fans that skipped the other consoles last gen really don't care and just want the game without having to buy an old console. I guess that's up to Sega, though.

How Many More Victims, Like Garry's Mod, Will Nintendo's Hurtful Crusade Create?

Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."

RiseNShine9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.

gold_drake8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

i cam guarantee you, that their exclusives alone is what drives switch sales. they sell in the 10s of millions of copies.

nintendo created their franchises to be sort of nostalgia driven, exclusive only on nintendo.

people will always buy the pkmn games as they always bring in new younger fans amd is family friendly

mario kart, the same thing, mario games in general.

zelda games are system sellers. animal crossing for the casual gamers.

nintendo doesnt need third vame devs essentially. they made sure with the switch and the limitations that they looked more to pc ps and xbox.

its sad, but nintendo is more than fine with what they're doing. they positioned themselves to appeal to the more casual gamers.

but to your point, im not sure why they're doing this rly.

Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.
