Jolt: Jack Keane Review

Having played through Ankh and its sequel, Jolt would like to think that the days when fans of the genre have to slog through games like these are no more thanks to the likes of far superior offerings which seem to be becoming ever more popular on the consoles as well as the PC. Considering Jack Keane is actually worse than Ankh in many respects, there's little reason to recommend it. Yes, it's not terrible, but is that really good enough considering the competition? Jolt would argue that it honestly isn't.

Gamezebo: Jack Keane Review

The Monkey Island series is one of the most loved and charming point and click adventure series of all time, combining quirky humor and traditional gameplay into an engaging overall package. Which is bad news for Jack Keane. Because while the game bares a lot in common with the Monkey Island games, both in terms of its look and style as well as the way it plays, it also fails to muster any of what made them so popular: charm. Instead we're left with a fairly bland and boring adventure that lasts a little too long and is decidedly light on laughs.
