Army of Two’ becomes 2008’s first All Formats No1 to be based on new IP and is EA’s first new IP All Formats No1 since ‘Black’ two years ago. Released exclusively on Xbox 360 (66% of sales) and PS3 (34% of sales)

Disappointed that UT3 isn't doing better. Coming from a PC back ground I've spent countless hours fragging away. I think a lot of people are giving this a miss due to CoD4, and that's a real shame.

fenderputty5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

regarldess of COD4. I think less people like UT due to it's computer origons and it's speed. It's not being aired in commericals 24/7 on TV like Army of Two is either. At least here in the states it's that way. Arggg ... I hate EA too.

mighty_douche5908d ago

Same here in the UK. I haven't seen a single ad for UT3, but i can't seem, to escape from Army of 2. Guess EA have more money to throw at advertising.

Still, I'm gutted for Unreal, I'm sure if i could sit down with any PS3 owner and a copy of UT with 20 minutes showing them whats possible (especially with the MoDs) they'd run out and snap it up.

Blademask5908d ago

Advertising budget has everything to do with Army of Two. Its a terrible game, yet its steady climing all charts.

Another shooter with a ad campaign behind it. The better game is UT3 hands down.

But you see how much Epic spends on Advertising? I think 3 dollars and twenty cents.

A new trend is starting to no longer be that. Its standard to make terrible games, bland generic titles, included with bugs, and then bash it over the consumers head with non-stop advertising.

Congrats to everyone that falls for this stuff, you are ruining the game industry.

fenderputty5908d ago

Most people don't care enough about these things though. You and I can notice a drop in framerate, bugs or horrid camera control but, the average consumer won't. Not only will they buy the game because it was advertised so heavily but, they'll also like it cause they didn't notice the flaws and loved the two masks and generic story.

The masses still like Brittany Spears and Pop music too. The masses in general just piss me off. lol

Bubbles all round for thinking for yourselves!!

doodle5908d ago

so PS3 9
x360 10

sounds logical

Snukadaman5908d ago

top 10
4 360 titles.
2 wii titles.
2 ds titles.
1 pc title.
1 ps3 title.

surprised the ps3 version of army of 2 is so low...usually games like this are neck and neck.

doodle5908d ago (Edited 5908d ago )

PS3 version of DW6 is neck and neck with X360 version

PS3 ARMY OF 2 -- 4

X360 ARMY of 2 -- 1

Uncharted has moved up the chart but Mass effect/halo 3 have totally disappeared

PS3 --9 games ( 2 new releases)
x360- 10 games ( 4 new releases)

After teh release of GT5

it will be

PS3 --20 games

x360 --0 games

PS3 outsold x360 in HW sales for both January and February in UK

No need to mention other EU countries since x360 doesnt exist anywhere except UK in EU

Gam715908d ago

Doodle? Does that stand for your brain.

If the same results were reversed you would be screaming this as proof (yet you cant provide any) of 360's demise.
Yet its not so you say, well its close!?!

then come out with after such and such the entire chart will be PS3!!! with no 360 games?!?! A complete takeover the charts and no doubt you mean every week.
That never happened with the ps2 so no way it will with the ps3 given its position in sw sales and given the 360's (higher ww, check it out) but also given the wiis place.
Which trumps ps3 and 360.

Deluded deluded deluded, narrow minded, pointless (your arguments and you) cant see whats in front of them but has to tell everyone, in the future this will happen.
Cos it isn't now is it. Ps3 has no dominence. The wii does and against the 360 you win with regards to this and that here and there but lose this there... etc.

stick to making stuff up about the future because the facts do you wrong.

Rauniot (PC) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Thomas Froehlicher: "Although Rauniot is shy on its lore and narrative, it still excels at captivating the player with an eerie, haunting world and incredibly tough riddles. It may also only be a few hours long, but those are hours of intense thinking and a deep sense of reward. Rauniot could never be described as user-friendly, but you'll want more anyway if you're thirsty for mysteries."
