As funny as ever, possibly one ogf his best.

You may not agree with him, but you can't help but laugh.

Laexerias5920d ago

The Last part with the Spider and the Bee was the best... Ive cried hard and im a sick DMC fanboy ~_~

BloodySinner5920d ago

This review is very truthful. I love it. I am definitely glad I did not pony up $60 for this title.

gambare5920d ago (Edited 5920d ago )

like the Halo3 ZP review?

Yahtzee's reviews are funny but no one should take them seriously.

kira9895920d ago

I thought his Halo review was spot on!!!

He is very truthful.... As far as i can see he doesnt give into hype and he gives the reviews based solely on his own thoughts of the game

Shankle5920d ago

Give in to hype? He doesn't seem to understand hype! It's like he has a magical anti-hype bubble around him.

Lord Vader5920d ago

lol.. funny vid ! But i completely disagree. DMS4 is a great game, I finished DMD & got unlimited DT for both characters & Bloody Palace is sooo much fun. Beating the game on Son of Sparda & Dante Must Die has some of the best rewards I've ever gotten after beating a game on hard difficulties. Most of the time, u just get an achievement.

It isn't without flaws (repetition), but I loved DMC4 as much as I loved DMC1. Heaven & Hell mode & the Bloody Palace are excellent rewards for gamers, IMHO the game has alot of replayability too.

okcomputer5920d ago

Uh, yea the game has replayability, but thats only in the sense that the entire second half is a modified replay of the first half. I LOVED dmc until you reach what is effectively the end of almost all original content in the game about halfway through and just replay the game using dante.

It was still a good game, and I don't regret the purchase, the first half was really that good, and yea dante's part was still pretty fun even if it was a replay with new moves. But the obscene amount of backtracking and rehashing really made me never want to play the game again once I finished it.

DemiseofPandas5920d ago

So the only reason to by the game is for the gameplay, but that's not worth buying a game for.... huh?

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC31d ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Exvalos30d ago

What a weird name, it's essentially devil may cry, devil may cry lol

Cacabunga30d ago

Best to good for me: 3, reboot, 1, 5

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me

Friendlygamer31d ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

monkey60231d ago (Edited 31d ago )

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya31d ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde31d ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

SeTTriP31d ago

This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.

Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.

Aaroncls7108d ago

Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.

Sephiroushin107d ago (Edited 107d ago )

DMC4 Special Edition is not delisted, it was just the standard version, it has nothing to do with issues of performance or anything alike. Its just that Capcom probably do not want to sell the standard version, neither the standalone DMC3 version.

Devil May Cry 4 - 15 Years of Nero

Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?

Knushwood Butt467d ago

Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.

Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.

5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.

chrisx467d ago

In DMC 5, it's 4 times you encounter the same bosses if you count the Vergil dlc lol

Knushwood Butt467d ago

Yeah, I'm only up to chapter 19 so the total count can only go up!

kevco33467d ago

No troll, I always preferred DMC.

No haters, please.

Knushwood Butt467d ago

I'm actually with you there, but DMC has that terrible writing. Alex Garland isn't it?

FallenAngel1984467d ago

Nero will always stand the rest of time against Donte and Viola
