Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Impressions - Gamer 2.0

Chris Selogy of Gamer 2.0 writes, "If there is one series in the entire sports genre that has not changed its core mechanics in all of its existence, it has to be the Hot Shots Golf series. That three-click swing meter is now an antique as the Tiger Woods series and the Wii have introduced new methods of swinging the club in the past several years, but that wouldn't stop the Hot Shots Golf series from not evolving through four console and two handheld entries.

With its first round on the PlayStation 3, Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds takes an epic leap for the series with a new swing mechanic that doesn't completely change the game, but gives fans of the series something new to master. Does that mean Out of Bounds will be a fresh, innovative experience or will the developer play it safe with in their next-gen debut?"

Will be picking up LBPK for 10 dollars. This might be the closest PS3 users will get to a steam sale on PSN.

A step in the right direction, Sony.

@Nitrowolf2, I have the Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank collections on Disc, but if I didn't that would be a great way to get into those games.

Unfinished Swan was on sale during the Holiday Essentials sale and I missed it, so this time I don't plan on doing that again.

The Unfinished Swan – Regular $14.99, Sale $7.49, PS Plus $3.75
Ratchet & Clank – Regular $14.99, Sale $7.49, PS Plus $3.75
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy – Regular $7.99, Sale $3.99, PS Plus $2.00

Already have the colelction, but since I'm Plus those prices are just to good to miss.

So you're buying a game you already have?

KangarooSam4134d ago (Edited 4134d ago )

Those are the three I'm planning on getting :P

I think. lol.

Great sale!

Edit: LBP Karting looks fun too, though. Not sure whether to get LBPK and US or US, R&C, and J&D. I need a sale where all four of those cost $15 haha.

@Calis

Yeah I am, $2.00 is dirt cheap, it'll be nice to have the extra digital version.

PS3 Games That I'd Like to See Get A Trophy Patch (Which Probably Won't)

SPC writes, "Like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune before it, recently Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots received a long-awaited patch, enabling trophies for prospective collectors to obtain. That sparked an interest in me to see what other games in the PlayStation 3 library that came out before Sony and third-parties' implementation of the trophy system. These five following games are ones that I would no doubt be interested in playing through again if such a trophy patch were to be included, though the likelihood is not that high."
