More cut content from Wind Waker surfaces

Pun intended if said cut content makes it into the Wii U remake.

If it doesn't contain the content cut from the original, I'm not sure I'm interested. It was fun, but I have more complaints about this game than any other Zelda in the series. I just wasn't that in to it. I'd rather see "The Adventures of Link" HD remake.

Put "Link's Awakening" on WiiU for all I care.
Windwaker just isn't that exciting to me.

silkrevolver4123d ago

My two complaints were difficulty and brevity.

Added contend and Masterquest would fix both.

Which Zelda is your "least" favorite?

You really think WW is better than any other Zelda game out there? I beg to differ!

I've played it, it was great, but it's not worth my time if I'm just playing the same game.

Disagree?... back it up then fool!

silkrevolver4123d ago

First, I never claimed WW was my favorite.
Its difficulty and brevity hold it back, as I had previously stated.

My least favorite is Adventures of Link, because I didn't particularly enjoy the combat system, and I found the difficulty overly frustrating. Zelda has had balancing issues throughout the series, clearly.

My favorite is actually Twilight Princess (even with its low-level of difficulty), because it wholly engulfed me from two hours in to end. (Fuck the beginning, frankly).

I can still love a game and admit its faults.

Regardless, nothing I said needed "backed up." It was all pretty self-explanatory.

I don't think these two islands are sufficient to advertise the game to have "new" content, and i don't think those islands were cut due to time constraints.

silkrevolver4123d ago

There were definitely two DUNGEONS cut due to time constraints.

One was the water one, for the orb.

It was really awkward in the game when it just gave it to you with no fight.

New levels isn't new content?

MNGamer-N4123d ago

I have not yet played this game, as I am one of the people who did not own a Gamecube. So I am excited to get this for Wii U.

I found a copy for GC over the summer but I'm going to wait. I got 2 dungeons in and haven't touched it since but I'm glad.

can't wait for HD

contradictory4123d ago

it's worth it
but IMO not the best Zelda
my personal favorite is Majoras Mask / OoT

the main point is that if it looks as good as it does on the screenshot, then holy shit.
it's awesome.

I'd put Street Fighter 2 over 3. 2 and all its different versions dominated the arcade scene back in the day in a way that 3 never did.

Abear21192d ago

Agreed, Same with Metal Gear Solid imo. Came for Bioshock and was not disappointed. Would easily put Burger Time or Space Taxi over tempest. Also, OG Sim City and Oregon Trail. Mario 64 as well. Just too many!

Abear21192d ago

Never played it I gotta get on this one

Double_O_Revan191d ago

Me too. I didn't have a GC until way later and never played it. I've been waiting on Nintendo to release the HD edition on the Switch for forever, but they just won't!

FinalFantasyFanatic191d ago

I never bought a Gamecube, I've always had an urge to play this game, maybe it'll get a remaster in the future.

LoveSpuds191d ago

I played it on WiiU for the first time and it remains my fave Zelda game to date. So much character and a real sense of exploration without the open world bloat.

Ms Pacman?
Robotron?
SSF2 Turbo over 3 simply by the 10000000000's ports of the game we're still having
Castlevania SOTN?
Zelda Link to the Past over Wind Waker
Super Mario Bros 3?
Chrono Trigger?
Resident evil4?
COD MW2 (the original)?
Uncharted 2
Metal Gear Solid?

Here's my reasoning for all of them versus the list proposed in the article.
They are still quite enjoyable from start to finish on their original platform, unlike some Wind Waker or Okami that are fun when you play the remastered version (unless you call: forced to watch a 20-minute cutscene or have to blow for wind chance constantly fun).
Some of them are the pinnacle of what the console could do (MGS, Chrono, MGS)
Lots of them are still considered the go-to-go game for their genre.

Said it before but Heart of Darkness is truly a timeless gem.
