This week, Zero Punctuation reviews Anarchy Reigns.
A recent wave of modern brawlers have exploded onto the scene, and it feels like they owe Anarchy Reigns some gratitude.
Jerry from BagoGames says, "With Astral Chain coming out right around the corner for the Nintendo Switch, I couldn’t help but think about all the amazing games PlatinumGames has pumped out over the years. Some revered greatly, others panned by critics, but to me insane infatuation. These are my five favorite games from my favorite developer"
After Xbox's announcement that there won't be any more backwards compatible games until the release of Project Scarlett, here's a reflection of what could, or perhaps should have been.
Not only would it have been great if Max Payne, Freedom Fighters, Nier, Blur and Lollipop Chainsaw got to become backwards compatible, it also would be great if those games got to have more games come out in their franchises.
Its not as backwards compatibity is dead its just been put on hold so all backwards compatibity game work on next xbox then when its released they will start up again, P.S I did finish Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Burning Earth
Might get the chance when Scarlett comes out. I mean for all games Xbox 360 and Original Xbox. I can dream it happening.
As much as I'm tired of the Zero Punctuation review style he is definitely on point with this one.
I really love Platinum studios and I really wanted to love this game but there are a lot of problems with it. I do love the ideas and concept but I think they need to be fleshed out and streamlined a bit more.
And yea I am also getting tired of every character being a Marcus Fenix rip with the same cigar smoking voice. The strangest/funniest scene is when Jack is in this family park sitting on a bench watching his daughter play ball with beautiful flowers, birds chirping and the sun shinning around him and he's wearing chains around every wrist and ankle, metal skulls over leather pants and just looking like he stepped out of a GWAR concert. Just a weird juxtaposition.
