PixlBit's Pid Review

PixlBit | "Beautiful aesthetics, wonderful music, and just about perfect controls are all you could hope for in a platformer save one very important factor and this eluded me for a while. I couldn’t figure out with so many great things going on in Pid why I hated it so very deeply. Eventually I realized that its well-crafted elements were completely overwhelmed by the boring, mediocre, and at times maddening level design. It’s a shame that the designers primarily focused on the window dressing bits instead of considering all the things you would actually be doing when you play. Pid struggles with knowing what sort of levels it wants to present, switching from puzzles to difficult platforming to stealth to long periods of just waiting around or running in a straight line. Each of these disparate level types (and more) are middling at best on their own and when combined are a complete drag. Pid’s wonderful presentation can’t save it from the tedium packed into every single minute of its tortuous length."

Beautiful Platformer 'Pid' Is Beaming Onto Switch on November 18

"Long ago, the studio that developed the incredible Bionic Commando: Rearmed broke up. Some of the remaining staff formed Might & Delight, which would go on to release games like Book of Travels and the Shelter series. On November 18, a whole new generation will get to face the game's beauty, challenge, and 2-player local co-op," says Co-Optimus.

The Beautiful, Strange World Of Pid - Review | Girls on Games

As a huge lover of Little Big Planet, the author became fond of Pid. The whole game reminds her of LBP. Like the aforementioned game, Pid is a very puzzling side scroller game, where you jump from different platform levels, collect currency, and hidden collectibles throughout your journeys. In Pid, you must avoid all of the little enemies on the map - touch one and you may be faced with a nasty death!

SteamFirst Review: Pid

SteamFirst: Pid is a 3D puzzle platformer developed by Might and Delight, the studio who brought us Shelter. The game features eccentric scenery, a cartoon like atmosphere that looks as if it was plucked straight from a child’s imagination and puzzles that’ll keep you playing until the very end. Today I’m going to be taking a look at some gameplay and discussing the game and it’s features.

Review score: 4.5/5
