Interestingly, Capcom calls this new Bionic Commando (in development for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360), the true sequel to the original NES game. Once again, you play as Nathan Spencer, but he's not quite as goofy looking as he was in the original Bionic Commando and for a good reason--the government gave him the shaft by throwing him into prison after events that transpired in the original game, which has caused him to grow dreadlocks and look mean.
But just as he's supposed to be executed, terrorists make use of an experimental weapon in Ascension City that causes it to fall to into ruin. Nathan receives a stay of execution so that he can defeat the terrorists, naturally.
