Top 50 iPhone And iPad Games Of 2012: 20-11

Chris Buffa (Modojo): Here we are, the best iOS games of the year. We started with a list of 200, whittled that down to about 100, then the gloves came off, as we fought to include certain titles and said painful goodbyes to others. The result is a snapshot of 2012, the 50 iPhone and iPad games that stood out the most. That said, join us each day as we make the countdown. On that note, it's time for games 20-11.

Which games made the top 50? Games 30-21, Games 40-31, Games 50-41.

Top 50? Why make a 50 list when there's probably only 10 worth playing?

There's at least 20. Mobile had a great year, and another reason why dedicated handhelds aren't needed anymore.

The Vita is still my favorite mobile gaming device especially since I just got a 32GB card for $60. It has a good amount of solid games, PSP games, PS1, PSN support, Cross play, and cross buy, with some nice look games for 2013.

That being said gaming on Vita cost Over $300 for the console, 1 game or PS+, and a memory card.

Mobile cost $200 for you tablet, and generally Free - $1 (rarely over $10) per game, and the quality of mobile has caught PSP - 3DS, and heading towards Vita in a year or 2.

Asphalt 7: Heat, Eternity Warriors 2 (Diablo clone), CSR Racing, Dead Trigger, Contract Killer 2, Rayman Jungle Run (Rayman Origins), Death Dome, Horn (Zelda), Pitfall (Temple Run 2), realMyst (for graphics only), Angry Birds Star Wars (Hate it or Love it), then there are the free games which may be time wasters, but free time wasters nonetheless.

the good games come mostly or first to iOS, android just gets leftovers, developers don't seem interested maybe because of easy and simple piracy.

i play Walking Dead on the iPhone, it dosn't need physical controlls so it's a good fit, but most other genres need buttons .
