DSOGaming writes: "THQ has released two new screenshots – via the game’s FB page – for Metro: Last Light, showcasing the upgraded visuals that will be featured in 4A Games’ post-apocalyptic title. Metro: Last Light is planned for a March 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3, and promises to be a graphical juggernaut. Enjoy!"
A look back at 4A Games' admirably consistent post-apocalyptic shooter franchise.
The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.
4A Games celebrates the 10th anniversary of its first-person shooter by offering it free for a week.
Nice, more than one face type :P
Like metro 2033, theres kinda one complaint, thats not that big of a deal when your not staring at walls or whatever, but some of the textures are very... sub par.
As much as I like the way the game sounds and looks (on its own), I am a little disappointed in the design change (especially the more we see of it). Its a little too 'clean' and colorful compared to original's darker, grimier/grittier look that suited the game and setting perfectly.
I still can't wait for Last Light and from the videos they're doing pretty well with trying to stick with the original setting but not sure if the art design change will be a bit of a downer for me in the long run. I don't think it'll be a deal breaker by any means, just a small issue when compared to the original. Still... I may miss the grit that made Metro so immersive on top of everything else.
Looking forward to Metro Last Light making my GPU's have to work for a change!!!
