The MMO genre is constantly pouring out giant batches of pea-soup-thick data on subscriber counts, upkeep costs, and microtransactions. To sort it all out, the number artists at Newzoo have gathered the most worthwhile info into a friendly infographic, creating a snapshot of the state of the MMO market.
Of the 400 million MMO players across the globe, 220 million chose free-to-play models. The remaining 180 million constitute “paying” players, though Newzoo didn’t elaborate on whether that meant keeping an active subscription, paying once, or purchasing an item through an in-game store.[Omri Petitte]
You can clear your wanted levels in Star Wars Outlaws by defeating the death troopers.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 has received a substantial visual upgrade, and we've put together a comparison that shows the improvements.
It appears Sony is making changes to the PSN backend in order to pave the way for future cross-platform releases across PC and PS5.
If sony want their games to be more successful on pc and to sell more they need to bring the games day-one like helldivers 2! , and not after 2 years.
First party ps5 games need to be ps5 only until 6 months imo because they need to sell consoles still and then focus on PC later.
This makes sense, just now doing it shows how behind and short-sighted regarding PC they were to begin with.
$6.5 Billion spent on MMO's in 2012 and I'm sure half of that money went to Blizzard and Nexon....the MMO Kings!
Next Gen you consolers will get a Massive Influx of MMO's to enjoy and ALL MMO's are NOT like World of Warcraft so relax!
Guild Wars 2, Tera Online, Planetside 2 are my current favorite MMO's!

And meanwhile thousands of people starved to death
wow, thats almost more than the ENTIRE amount spent on xbox360 games and hardware in 2011!!! and it is WAYYY more than its software sales!
"That means that consumers spent about $6.7 billion on Xbox[sic] games and hardware during the year. "
"The breakdown shows that $2.1 billion was spent on the Xbox console in 2011, and the other $4.6 billion was on games. The entire video game sector in 2011 racked up $17.02 billion. That sounds like a huge amount of money, but it is an 8% drop from money spend in 2010"
PC is crushing consoles lately, and with steambox coming next year, ms and sony need to get on board and do like steam does, or get left in the dust
