Dutch website PS3Focus presents us today with the first images from THQ's third person shooter, Red Faction: Guerrilla. The game is expected for the fisical year 2009.

different direction for sure; it's a third-person, open world game. thats what it's been announed to be........sounds sketchy, glad its on Mars tho

These are either really poor quality shots, or this game looks absolutely terrible. Probably a little of both.

I see some neat things in there, but they seem to be borrowing a lot from Halo3 and Killzone II. My memories of Red Faction and RF II are all about grat MP battles and busting up walls with my weapon. It was such a simple, cool game. I hope they don't try to overdo it and ruin it, as I've been waiting for this game for a long time.

Those are the only memories of the original Red Faction that I have. Red Faction was a launch title for the PS2 wasn't it? Regardless, Its a pretty old title but I remember laughing when the enemy soldiers would always say stuff like that.

Graphics certainly don't look to good, but that could be a plus. Physics and gameplay first and save the graphics for later. Screens look to be in Delta or Alpha version. I can't wait to learn and see more of it. Some images should show up in next gameinformer soon.

Bloody, Red Faction 1 and 2 were FPS, but this NEW game is Red Faction 3 and it is a THIRD person shooter. They changed the perspective.

They are going to add more effects the game is still in the beta stage or possibly the alpha stage.

i hear ya man, can't judge the product yet. odd thing is my game informer mag has the release date set as "2008" and this article says fiscal year 2009, which begins this fall i believe. but nahhhhh theres no way it will be out in 08'

Red Faction was a gret title in its day, but now the genre has changed. Fracture looks alot better that RF2, in certain ways. Eventough Red Faction was the first FPS on consoles to destroy the enviroments.

they still have a lot of dev time but nothing from the screenshots interest me.

One guy looks like the Master Chief clone and he even looks like he's hong a similar gun yet with far less definition. I know they are still building on the game and I hope it's great, like my hopes for any game.

They should keep these picture for a before and after.

I love TPS over FPS, but those GFX are very bland right now. I guess that is in part to it being open world? Anyway, they need to shape up a lot before release.
