Hidden Gems – Ghostbusters: The Video Game

When asked to name a game that has offered true, unadulterated fan service the most usual answers would be Batman Arkham City, Portal 2 or even Deus Ex: Human Revolution. However, Ghostbusters: The Video Game was one of the richest, deepest and most fun filled fan-service games of the entire generation.

I have 42 platinums and with the exception of Demon's Souls x3 this is my absolute favorite. I loved the SP and loved the MP even more. I can not believe they didnt do DLC, they had my wallet open the second I touched the game

Really? I didn't care for the game at all... but the story was cool. It was like a new Ghostbusters movie, but the game was mediocre at best for me.

There was so much negativity thrown at this game from the start the internet was absolutely ablaze with fanboy nonsense before this game was even released and pretty much everyone ignored the critical praise this game received in favor of becoming a bunch of frothing pixel counters.

If you were a fan of the movies, you needed to play this game and if you missed out it was your loss. This game was a gushy love letter to the fanbase and a blast to play at that. I'm so glad I decided to listen to the reviewers and pick this game up because I had an absolute blast with it. It was funny and it was fun, exactly as it should have been.

This game didn't nearly receive the sales or attention it deserved and it's nice to see this game getting some love. If you haven't played it and you're a fan, you can probably pick it up for under $20 now.

that fanboy nonsense you are talking about is absolutely 100% correct it was disgusting and i want more. The internet trolls and clowns were bad. It really was the moment i started to hate the fanboy war (didn't like it anyway) but games like this need support and unfortunately the fun game got overshadowed by a bunch of 12yr olds with keyboards.

if any of you did this that are reading this well a four letter word followed by You

I really enjoyed this game.

amazing game, but the screen tearing and the fact that i cant invert the camera controls, puts this from a 10/10 to a 0/10

2 points loss for the screen tearing, 8 points loss for not letting me invert the camera controls

Lol amazing game that has two minor flaws which drop the game from a perfect ten to a zero

Edit: meant to reply to MC_KOOL_K

Review - Ghostbuster The Video Game Remastered (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Todd Eggleston: "Ghostbusters The Video Game is nostalgia done right, and puts you right back in 1984. It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."
