Double Fine's Amnesia Fortnight is an interesting process, stopping work on existing projects and letting anybody in the company pitch a game, with the most liked being prototyped with the possibility of become Double Fine's next retail release. Past Amnesia Fortnight's have seen the birth and growth of many Double Fine success stories, such as Costume Quest. It's a bold and wonderful concept in an industry beset by big budget brands and precious little new IP, giving the time and resources to what are essentially passion projects.
It looks like a third entry isn't happening soon.
