Thankfully these days, we mostly find ourselves applauding games for how realistic and cinematic their voice acting tends to be, but just a few short years ago, this really was not the case at all. We weren’t always blessed with the likes of David Hayter delivering steely, wholly believable performances that made us totally buy into their characters; no, once upon a time, we had to deal with the horribly stifled performances that populate this list (though a few of them are, embarrassingly, from recent games). The only plus, then, is that in some instances it can enhance the game’s iconic status, as with Resident Evil (pictured above), and somewhat accentuate its B-movie-inspired tone, even if completely by accident.
Whether we’re able to glean some humour from it or not, here are 10 awesome games with terrible voice acting.

Vampire games are making a comeback of late, and gamers hoping this is a new trend should look back at the 7 best vampire games ever made.
What is a list? A miserable little pile of scribbles.
A Best Vampire Game list and no Bloodborne. A bold choice, indeed.
No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.
I really enjoyed Vampyr. The combat is a little clunky and could use some work. However, the story, characters, dialog. setting, and pretty much everything else in the game is great.
Hanzala from eXputer says, "After multiple delays, cancellations, and ownership changes, the misfortune of Deus Ex continues; this gem of a series deserves better."
One can only hope at this point Embracer will need to generate an influx of cash flow, and what better way to do so than to sell off some of its IPs... namely Deus Ex, to a competent and talented studio capable of delivering a game noteworthy of the name in future. And thinking about it further, I don't know why Embracer would sit on the IP vs sell it if it means staying in business or not.
Heavy Rain's voice acting wasn't terrible... It wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible. :\
Heavy rain wasn't bad and where is ff 10 it was unbearable watching and listening though I suppose that wasn't the acting.
Where is Conner from AC3 (ok the game wasn't awesome but still terrible terrible voice acting for a good game)
