Borderlands 2: Mr Torgue's Campaign of Carnage Review | EuroGamer

EuroGamer: "As with all DLC of this type, Campaign of Carnage is more like a house extension than a new build, and as such it benefits from all of the rhythms and systems of its overarching game structure: experience points, weapons and cash earned here feeding into the broader Borderlands 2 economy. As such, Gearbox has been able to focus on the narrative elements, on the characterisation, on finding the most outrageous tasks for you to perform at the behest of Mr Torgue. Lean, crafted, memorable, enriching and funny, the Campaign of Carnage is yet more evidence that nobody does post-release game expansion better than the Borderlands team. Essential."

This campaign is incredibly short. I feel sorry for those who bought it individually.

It's longer than scarlett...

Megaton4189d ago

Nah, it's shorter, but it's still better. I'd give Scarlett a 6 and Torgue an 8.

I'm sorry but it is much shorter than scarlett. It feels very barebones. I beat this in one night, it took me almost three nights to beat scarlett.

@ Megaton

Unless you're counting Master Gee as part of Scarletts length, then I don't see how it's shorter. I was able to do Scarlett in maybe 4 hours (not including Master Gee) and Torgue took me about 6. To each their own, but I still think Scarlett is shorter if you ignore Master Gee.

Megaton4189d ago (Edited 4189d ago )

Torgue took me about 3 - 4 on TVHM. By about 6 hours I had completed all side quests, including Pete and all the repeatables (the 3rd-tier racing repeatable took the most time).

Scarlett took me about 5 - 6 on TVHM. It wasn't until around 10 that I had done all side quests, including Hyperius and Gee.

I played with one other person on both DLCs.

Honorable mention to Drive Clubs Ferrari Fxx-K. Should be there over Horizon.

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series

Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground

Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3

And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

toxic-inferno484d ago

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.
