Does anyone play with manual settings ? I've seen them but never changed them

pompombrum4198d ago

Yes, there is or at least was a very dedicated community for manual players. I used to refer to them as the Jehovah's Witnesses of the fifa community. People will talk about something completely unrelated to manual on the official forums then some manual player would come in and start preaching about manual settings.

I play for a good fifa club and remember playing against an all manual team once, they were very very good and had nothing but respect for them.

I play with manual. Makes the game feel much more realistic and you can pull off more intricate stuff, but things do go a bit AWOL at times too but that's part of the fun. It can take a good while to get used to it but I think it's worth it. Games come down to skill more often than not rather than just hammering this or that button and exploiting the game. (Not saying that everyone on semi-assisted does that, but I've often come up against players who use cheap tactics all the time to win so this way it's a little less frustrating when you lose.)

A friend of mine and I never play any match, including all online matches against other people, with fully assisted settings. We only play semi or manual. The game can get a little ridiculous with assisted settings and like the writer, it just seems like playing the game on easy mode where the computer does everything for you.

Not all outdated football games are worthless

Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."

Sonic Boom? welp, sucks to suck.
But, Bayonetta is a real shame

wonderfulmonkeyman3458d ago

Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.

And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.

I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.

are seriously trying to downplay Bayonetta 2 with sales
