Man, it’s been ten years since the debut of Sam Fisher on Microsoft’s console, Xbox. Splinter Cell was meant to be Microsoft’s answer to Sony’s Metal Gear Solid franchise. Thus, Splinter Cell was advertised as the best third-person stealth game. And oh boy was it an incredible experience. Packed with amazing visuals for its time, Splinter Cell quickly became the epitome of third-person stealth games. Fast forward a couple of years, and here we are today with new Splinter Cell games that are more action-oriented than its predecessors. But let’s forget about this and let’s wish Sam Fisher happy birthday, shall we?
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Mirage appears to be adopting a key Splinter Cell mechanic, which is great news for the characterization of Basim on PS5 and Xbox.
Splinter Cell is the most innovative stealth series to ever grace this industry, why this is high time for a mobile port we'll discuss here
The Splinter Cell titles have some of the best co-op modes in the stealth-action genre, expanding on the series' main campaigns with new characters.
It's rough to see Ubisoft complaining about games not being successful etc, while they sit churning out the same games over and over again and leave obvious money sitting on the table by doing franchises like Splinter Cell wrong.
Whilst I loved the SC multiplayer, I still think they were kind of niche due to the complexity of the maps and learning curve. I wished they made better practice bots though for solo play. Co-op is pretty decent though but not enough players and a very intimate experience. You couldn't really play with randoms who ignore the stealth, so had to play with friends.
Splinter Cell did everything right for pure stealth gameplay
for ps3 owners get the hd collection, its worth it.
one of the best franchises ever , all 3 games gave me some of my finest days in gaming especially Chaos theory
note: xbox 1 versions were the definitive ones, ps2 and GC were fine but nowhere near xbox 1 level
Ah Chaos Theory, such an amazing game. Let's hope that Blacklist will be as good as it was
Thank You PS3 for putting out the HD Splinter Cell Trilogy.
Loved all this series when it was still on the original XBox and used to play and re-play it a lot of times.
Now I get to do it all over again and in 3D.
Looking forward to Blacklist. Was very impressed when I saw the demo game play over here at Expo 2012 in Oz. It's great the game still employs a lot of the themes that I loved in the original series and added a ton of new innovations and the look of the game is spectacular.
