Amazon Customers Thrash Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask for being a Nintendo 3DS Title

Amazon customers are giving poor reviews to Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask solely because the game is on the Nintendo 3DS. Naming the Nintendo 3DS closely to the Nintendo DS seems to have caused some confusion, Mini Fortress weighs in on the issue.

Lol! Come on people, seriously? This seems to be a trend with people not understanding that these new consoles aren't just updates of the old ones. The Wii and Wii U, the DS and 3DS, the PSP and Vita. All it takes is like 10 seconds of research that these people didn't do. -_-

The internet is a source of - primarily - two things:

- Porn.
- An endless font of faceless people who love to complain about things that they would never bother to raise issue with in real life, for fear of how ridiculous they would appear.

The Amazon reviews fall under the latter category, clearly.

What about memes? They seem to be taking over the Internet. Move over porn, Keyboard Cat is here!

I do love a good kitty-cat meme, I must admit.

I'm not saying these people are...um... the brightest lights on the tree, but ya gotta admit, the packaging and size of the game cases are very similar between DS and 3DS.

It's easy for us to say "hurr hurr you dummies! The DS and 3DS are different", but let's consider that the "DS" came out, then the "DS Lite" came out, then the "DSi" came out, "then the DSi XL" came out, and all of these systems played DS games, no problem. Yeah, these people should have done their research, but when Nintendo has come out with so many "DS" systems, most of which play the same games, I can understand why a non-gamer or casual gamer would be a bit confused.

so we have DS customers vs 3DS customers. Great.

It says 3DS on the box....

But reading is too scary :(

robparko4184d ago (Edited 4184d ago )

That should have been the first sign, unfortunately, looks like some people don't pay that much attention to their purchases.

Lol this is ridiculous. I can just imagine people trying to cram the cartridge into the original DS.

Getting the game for Christmas, I'm glad it's a 3DS game. Would have been annoyed if it was released on DS having bought a 3DS last year.

I just hope that person really doesn't cut off the protrusion. They would be better off if they just sell it to somebody, or even on eBay.
