The PvP sukcs balls, ive had no luck anyway, i keep gettin shafted in the back, respawn, stabbed in the back and repeat

Yep, for some reason the god damn backstab hasn't been removed, it can and has ruined most of the experience of PVP.

I'm also pissed they didn't include any new trophies, I am really disappointed in this piece of DLC.

Getting disappointed in a DLC because they didn't remove an important combat mechanic from the game and didn't add shiny and equally fake trophies for little kids to show off.

The funny thing is, every real Dark Souls fan, from the ones who were a fan of From since King's Field days to the newcomers, love the extra content solely because of how perfectly it fits to the lore let alone because of the great amount of playtime and other extra additions on top while some guy whines because of lack of trophies and getting lagstabbed in the back in PVP...

Trophies/Achievements are the bane of the industry right now, and are SO catered to this generation of late teens/early 20s that have had their punk asses wiped for them their whole lives, and then given candy. Instant gratification, thats all it is.

YOU BEAT LEVEL 1, HERE IS AN ARBITRARY NUMBER OF POINTS THAT VALUE NOTHING AND A VIRTUAL MERIT BADGE!

If your decision to pass up this amazing DLC is based off of lack of Achievements/Trophies, then I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your life. You're going to need it.

SO, because I enjoy earning new trophies in my favourite game this generation for the sense of achievement it gives me and the extra questing usually associated with it, I'm a kid(I'm 30) or an all around failure at life?

I wish I could appreciate games at your level, which is clearly more highly tuned than my own. You guys are actual gamers, because you have to be against trophies or achievements to be an actual gamer, how dare someone else enjoy them.

I also fail to see how backstabbing is an important combat mechanic in PVP, it's cheap and usually only accomplished with lag. It's BS.

AND trophies have been mandatory since like 2010, so WTF FromSoftware? When I spend $15 on DLC I shouldn't have to wonder if trophies are included, it should be a given.

Yea merrill i agree with you I game as much or more then anyone and have been for like 25 years. I enjoy trophies. The back stab is a lag PVP issue anyone who says its not is not playing enough PVP.

I played all of the Kings Field games on ps1. You guys are seriously in need of a reality check in which your Hipster approach towards trophies needs to be evaluated.

It doesn't have trophy's that sucks i like trophies they don't dictate the games i play.

Trophies are fun and love them glad they are a part of the Video game scene. It is only a matter of time everything we do as humans competitively revolves around trophies so this anger towards them is just Hipsterish.

Just because you don't know the tricks most people care about the PVP and the game itself knows, shouldn't force From to remove a combat mechanic that's been there since DeS. Sometimes you may get cheaply stabbed in the back, but if you know how, you can defend yourself against it most of the time.

More than 200 hours on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC combined. Most of it is PVP and still counting (currently playing on PC only). And if you want proof, I'm sorry (not that much) to tell you that I got none.

First of all, good for you. I'm sure you also expect a medal for playing those amazing games. And accusing someone for having a "hipster" approach just because they gave you one big fat fact about why that thing you defend is unnecessary, is childish. Nothing more. Also I got 6 Platinums on my PS3 account and I'm still trying to earn more if I feel that the game I'm playing deserves it. I got nothing against trophies but if you go around and tell everyone that you won't buy an amazing piece of DLC that gives more than enough for the price you're paying for it just because it doesn't have 5-6 imaginary medals, then you can expect me to say something about it.

Your very own fault for not being properly ready for PVP, both equipment and skill wise. No one needs to remove a feature just because you're not ready or don't know how to properly thwart a threat that's been there since game's release.

So please. Come back when you actually have a serious problem with the game. Or you can just buy some other game. I'm pretty sure Bethesda will include 4-5 trophies with their new Skyrim DLCs... Whenever they decide to release them for PS3 of course.

What DLC hasn't had trophies on a Retail game DLC?

Also it is a lag issue with the back stab issue. Having to do special stuff to cover up an exploit by your own admission is a problem.

I feel your frustration but there's so much more to Dark Souls than PVP. Its ridiculous to see people complaining over what is essentially one of the smallest parts of the game.

It was designed like this for a reason, and one look at its massive community online confirms how successful its been. But dont take my word for it...go ahead and stay mad at the game because youre getting invaded or dont know how to PVP. More souls for the rest of us.

In his defense, it is the game's fault sometimes. People will just insta-backstab you because of lag. Heck I've been backstabbed while rolling. And PvP is a big part, it is one of the coolest parts of the game being able to invade another's world, and when it works it is freakin awesome.

There were less problems in Demon's Souls, perhaps Dark Souls underperformed a bit on the technical side because it went multiplat, still one of the best games I've played tho.

Any complaints about this DLC are unwarranted. More Dark Souls, which in my opinion is the best RPG this generation along with Demon's Souls, is such a treat for any true fan of the series. I could care less about trophies, just give me amazing battles against huge monsters like Sanctuary Guardian or epic duels against dark knights like Artorias, new areas to explore, and more loot to discover and I'm good. It's also very commendable how From Software built this DLC due to success of the game and fan demand rather than pre planning what to omit from the game in order to milk money out of their fans. I still think any other dev/publisher would have made Painted World of Ariamis DLC rather than an optional area for the player to randomnly find. From Software are THE BEST ACTION RPG Devs in the business right now, they also appreciate and care about their fans more than any other Dev.

I loved the dlc, my only problem with it is it just reminded me how much I love exploring new souls content. And I hope they start making a new one. Dark and demon are my fav two rpg's this gen, maybe ever.

i love the souls games they are the best rpg's 4 me this gen, sure some new trophies would've been gr8 but im jus happy 2 get dlc 4 it...the backstab suxs in pvp tho it jus kills the fun in pvp battles especially how it happens due 2 lag at times, also building up a physically strong character 2 use the heavy weapons seems pointless in pvp because ppl run in & backstab u almost all the time
