What we are hearing now is that they will be remaking and releasing games like Shadowgate and Sherlock Holmes. Plans as of now are to release the games in sets of three."
Despite skyrocketing retro game prices the NES remains a deep trove of excellent games that, if you can avoid eBay sellers, are really quite affordable for new collectors.
Double Dragon 2 is one of the best!! Several good games on this list! Shadowgate, P.O.W., and Klax. That is actually a super fun puzzle game! TMNT, I think every time after the seaweed, I only had like 1 Turtle left. lol

Nearly 40 years after its release, the NES is still one of the most popular gaming consoles in the world! Here are our top NES games that have stood the test of time.
I effing love(d) Shadowgate! I played one on the Gameboy Color back in the day if I remember correctly.
The music reminded me of Deja Vu from the NES and...well...the game-play in general. It was such a fun game, I don't think I ever beat that game either. I'll have to give it a shot on an emulator (as I don't know where my cartridge has gone recently, but I do know it hasn't been sold or anything)
I want to see some of these games back in the day make a resurgence :) they are and have their own style of play, but hopefully it will fit enough people to warrant more variation as well :) [and now instead of having 8/16-bit like graphics we can have something that looks smoother and plays the same way, with more detail! :D]
i remember playing this and dying constantly.
