The whole building survival crazy we have seen in the recent years was undoubtedly kicked off (at least into the mainstream) by that of Minecraft from Mojang. Following this hit many developers have decided to take their own stance on the genre, with Re-Logic taking a much more 2D platforming stance, to other developers such as Paul Greasley in his fantastic own vision of the genre.
Under The Ocean spent more than a year on Steam Early Access, but—despite steady progress and a relatively fun experience—the survival game's creator yanked it from Valve's service. His reasoning? He's not sure if he can deliver on his promises anymore, and he wants to make sure he's not being dishonest with players.
Island survival platformer, Under the Ocean, is being shifted from a 2D platform game, to a 3D one, according to the latest development update.
